/u/Nevalistis please bring back the Slaughtered Calf Inn. Really enjoyed it 2 years ago.

I really want to bring it back. Won't be happening this year, but it's something I'm always advocating for. It was just as great an experience for us as it seems to have been for attendees.

While disappointing that there's nothing major coming (and just a touch confusing with the name change on the wings), it is very encouraging that they are learning to actually communicate that they aren't actually announcing something. Because at least now we have time to be disappointed in advance.

That said, knowing this, let's just go ahead and have 2.6.1 right now. There's no point in waiting for Blizzcon, so let's just do it.

There are a lot of other steps that have to happen before we can deploy a patch. We have another patch going through the PTR this week (planned for tomorrow), and then we have another stretch of bug crunching, client stabilization, and submissions to our console partners.

That said, BlizzCon still plays a part - literally every employee at Blizzard's Irvine campus is used as staff for the show, from the folks that sell you your swag at the gear store to the peeps managing lines for game demos. Just because we don't have a major announcement doesn't mean we aren't part of the show—we're one Blizzard, and it's important we can support our peers on other teams, too.
