Is season 18 start date still unknown?

For now. Not by the end of the week. :)

I know you catch a lot of flack by people, but thanks for not leaving us to the wolves. Some of us do appreciate you, even though the majority of people who comment to you are just trying to pick fights.

The #1 recommend skill for any community manager is knowing how to handle, sort, and parse feedback. That means letting salt roll of your back and sifting through frustrations to get at the golden feedback that lays below. ;)

I've had a few years to hone this skill. So don't worry about me. <3 I do what I do for people like you; those who are just as willing to take the time to let us know how we're doing when it's good as when it's not. Ultimately, people comment (negatively or positively) because they care. And the people who take the time to be constructive about it? Well, that takes more time and effort to do, and we really appreciate that.

    Glad it's not me...

    ...yet.

It's nice to know that there are at lesat some people listening. What avenue would you say is the best to present feedback?

I certainly spend the most time on the official forums over everywhere else, but I spend time here on reddit, our social media channels, various livestreamers' chats... even lurking in General chat on the live game.

I'd say wherever you're most comfortable, but I'm almost certainly going to check the forums (especially the PTR Feedback forums when they're live) in the most volume.

Awesome post, /u/Nevalistis. Now that you're here, could you tell me what this is?

    A tetrahedron.

Lol, if that's getting roasted then I'll take more of it

    Noted!

Stone of Jordan, do you remember the thread where you asked us?

Yep! But not all feedback comes to fruition right away... or ever. Having the discussion is still really healthy for the community, as feedback (even if we don't utilize it as-presented) gives us a view of what's most important to players. That overall view is something we're checking in on more often than anything.

Not all heroes wear Capes, some wear Community Manager title.

To clarify, I would totally wear a cape if asked.

    Edna Mode be damned.

A new set to them is probably just tweaking an existing set. The game got a bunch of new sets 2 years ago

Nope. Completely new sets, including art, for each class.

Agreed - though it seems odd to introduce new legs when there's already so many that could just be overhauled with actual interesting affixes. Don't need net new stuff, just add onto the old stuff.

New mostly means new powers, not necessarily completely constructed from the ground up. We definitely have some "disappointment offenders" in the list of items to review for this purpose.
