S18 seasonal character cannot play with other seasonal characters

I created a Season 18 character, however I am unable to join games with other seasonal characters. When I try to join their party or invite them, it says "Seasonal characters cannot play with non-seasonal characters." Also, after completing Chapter I of the seasonal journey, I did not receive the gift. The icon in the lower left corner to claim it simply does not appear. Has anyone seen this? Is it a known bug? I'd hate to have to recreate the character...

Thanks. I realized after I posted I was incorrect regarding the chapter rewards so that part is a non-issue. For me, the Request Party Invite option was dithered on my friend who was also playing a seasonal game with the "cannot play with non-seasonal" error. I could invite the same friend to my party, but their character image did not appear in the party. In that instance, Start Game was dithered with the same error.

One workaround was joining the friend's party, then they were able to start a T6 game (but not 10).. we were then able to back out of the game together, and then start a T10 game successfully. I'll post in the bugs thread as well.

This is a known issue, but it's not consistently happening to everyone. Any information you have about your experience would be helpful, and if you can post in the thread I linked, we can gather it all in one place. It would be much appreciated.

As for the C1 rewards, there aren't any. Might I recommend this great community resource for tracking your rewards and progress through the Season? It's pretty helpful. :)
