Hopefully the damage reduction was fixed to work with shields, or the set will be unplayable. Please let us know!

I have verified that we went in and fixed additional bugs with this. As always, please let us know if you find it different in practice once the patch goes live!

Still if you have dates you "anticipate and try to meet" it would be wonderful if you could communicate those dates further in advance. My favorite part of the D3 season is the first week. Right now I work a 5/5/2/2/ schedule and my 5 working days lands on that Friday-Tuesday (starting the 13th). So I'm essentially missing the only part of the season I enjoy.

I know I'm only one person and your schedule doesn't revolve around me, but I'm sure I'm not the only that would appreciate a heads up much earlier in order to take time off to play our favorite game on season launch. Same thing happened last season and I ended up only signing in for challenge rifts due to the lack of interest after missing the season start.

We've had this feedback before, and we made changes to communicate them well in advance for a few Seasons, but things can (and often do) happen that causes those dates to shift. The response to that was outrage we didn't meet "promised" dates (which were always listed and communicated as "anticipated" and thoroughly caveated with the potential to shift). The moment we say something, that date may as well be considered written in stone. :(

It's unfortunately a one-way-or-the-other thing because, well, that's exactly the feedback we've received. We've already made this adjustment in the past, and as it wasn't for the better, it's unlikely we'll go back to that method again.

You done goofed by starting it at the same time as PoE's new league. Should've started it a week earlier.

Our production schedules are determined in our own vacuum well in advance - we have dates we anticipate and try to meet, flexible only if our dates need to move for technical reasons (like if a build breaks and re-submissions are needed, or we have a catastrophic bug to fix). In this case, starting a week earlier would not have afforded us time between patch launch and Season launch to ensure any last minute bugs or balance changes need to be made. We've purposefully made the window larger between anticipated patch launch and season launch for precisely this reason, based both upon our own internal experiences as well as past player feedback.

Inevitably, other companies will probably step on our toes, and we'll probably step on theirs. While I can't speak for other companies, I genuinely do not believe there's nefarious or otherwise intentions behind that. We're all just doing what our individual teams need to in order to produce and release content at the cadence we're able. Sometimes that lines up nicely, and sometimes it doesn't. It's more unfortunate coincidence than anything else.

Yeah, I totally understand that, it's just quite unfortunate. I would've loved to play a bit of Diablo before diving deep into PoE again.

Maybe it's more of an other-way kind of approach this time around. We'll be here if you decide you need to change it up again after a while, for at least about three months before we move on to our next Season. :)

I understand, just really sucks. No fuckin way I play d3 over PoE, but I'd definitely play d3 after or before a poe season. Which i usually like to do. The amount of arpgs out there is scarce and having a few to play is nice. Unfortunately wolcen flopped for now and now d3 came out with a pretty bad season date =\ oh well

Remember that the one thing we've been pretty good about is maintaining 3 month seasons (give or take a couple of weeks). That means you'll likely have plenty of time to enjoy your other endeavors—and we'll still be here doing what we do when you decide to revisit Sanctuary. :)

The gates of the High Heavens and Burning Hells are always open.

Not sure if a typo but I found this at the bottom of the blog:

Q: What will happen to older Seasonal and Era records?

A: Starting with Season 10, we removed old personal bests from Season 1. When Season 19 arrives

Yep, definitely a typo. This blog has a lot of pre-formatted information, and I've taken out previous Season references for the most part to make it modular, but a few areas sometimes get missed. Thanks!

Will the PTR bug with shields on a wizard not benefiting from the Typhon 4 piece damage reduction be fixed before it goes live?

Pretty sure this was already fixed with PTR Patch 2. :)

It's even a copy/paste in the blog post lmao

" Want to prepare your Conquest plan for Season 19? Here are the challenges you’ll face! "

    Fixed. Thank you!

The hydra heads dying was fixed, but there's another bug where if your shields are up, the damage you're taking isn't reduced by the 4 piece set, and even worse, if the damage exceeds the shield, the remainder is taken at full force.

Lexy posted a clip in the PTR bugs forum showing how it could result in you being 1 hit with shields, but fine without shields.

I'll track this one down and make sure it's been verified/looked at. Thanks!
