Clearly rogue is a "weapon class", but the mana cost/rarity difference between Spirit Claws and Cogmaster's Wrench, which are almost exactly the same card, is pretty shocking.

Ok clearly Rogue has other weapon buffs (and had old Blade Flurry at the time).

However shaman has a hero power that will always activate the +2 attack 25% of the time, WORST case. More if other totems are already on the board.

But that's a 2 mana difference for a weapon with the same attack, durability, and conditional buff.

The only differences between these two cards are the condition, and the rarity. Somehow both of these favor shaman! 2 mana less, and a downgrade from epic to common.

I didn't even want to get into the obvious shaman shitpost meta, but this post is about another top-tier shaman 1-mana card that has been printed, not even I intentionally. I wish I was complaining about a horribly OP priest 1-mana draw engine right now. lol

e:welp, I quickly typed this on my phone in bed last night and expected it to get about 6 upvotes. Not even worth cleaning up the bad grammar at this point I suppose. Hi reddit

I would say it's likely Rogue will be more weapon focused than Shaman in most expansions, there will be some sets where Shaman will get a weapon that makes that not the case. Rogue has a 3-4 playable fun decks right now, though not all of them have reached a high population of players. As far as the future goes, we think it's fine for Rogue to have minion based strategies, but want to make sure they have some combo-centric high power level decks, too. Some amount of the Rogue and Priest player audience gets excited by playing combo-reactive decks so we want to support that.
