Blizzard wants players to make "Fun Decks" but with no environment to play them in
Blizzard claimed they created purify and other cards to be used in "fun decks," to mess around and such. But currently there isn't a place to play these decks without getting destroyed by net decks. Casual is just like ranked, aggro shaman and zoo, meanwhile tavern brawl is mostly pre constructed decks. When the tavern brawl isn't pre made, there is some wacky rule that is different from how the cards should be played. Even if the tavern brawl is enjoyable, after a day or two it becomes just like casual with net decks ruling over it. For example, the 2 x 15 cards brawl was the best brawl imo, however after the first 2 days it all became the same 3 decks.
If blizzard creates cards to be "fun", at least give them somewhere to have said fun. Yes, I know about friends but some people don't have them or like my friends who only care about reaching higher ranks. I don't have ideas for a new gamemode, but I'm sure Reddit has some great ideas.
Edit: The best place for this would be like regular casual expect without the ability to complete quests with it. Sure, you would have the people who try hard there anyway but they wouldn't be rewarded.
Iksar
I laughed at this. Whenever we test mill or reno decks I have to make sure I start multi-tasking on something else. Otherwise I'll go home from an 8-9 hour day having played like 10 games. We've discussed how to improve quests before, they are an important piece of most people's daily experience that shape how you play Hearthstone. I think right now they do a good job of rewarding you for trying new things (multiple classes) but maybe there are some more crazy things we can do that ask you to play with specific cards or decks that would be more fun. I don't think we would want to give you a quest you can't reasonably complete with your collection but I'm sure there are ways to figure that out. Thanks for the feedback, will be something to discuss next time we are pondering quest improvements.
