Class Discussion Countdown to Whispers of the Old Gods: Day 1 is Paladin and Druid!
Hello fellow mortals,
As we prepare to cower in fear at the might of the Old Gods and Shaman actually being good, we're starting off a mini series of discussion posts! This idea was suggested by /u/killertermite and /u/armoredporpoise. Images are ripped from /u/nostalgia37's reveal chart. The goal is to discuss 2 classes per day until the expansion comes out on the 26th-27th.

Iksar
Paladin: In terms of Standard, loses some incredible early game (Minibot, Muster, Coghammer) and replaces with some incredible late game (Forbidden Healing, Ragnaros).
Happy with this because it really helps establish Control Paladin as an archetype when it was already pretty close. Losing Coghammer makes me a little sad because I love cards you have to work for and get rewarded for setting up properly. Minibot and Muster were great thematically for GVG but I think it's time for new cards to shine. With healbot gone, classes with access to lots of life gain like Paladin should see a big uptick in success during hyper-aggro metas.
Druid: Also speaking in terms of standard, we're all happy Druid is going to be presented with a large number of interesting deck decisions whereas before there were just too many 'must haves'. Outside of the card changes, Druid doesn't actually lose any cards you might see in your ladder day to day. Fandral has such huge upside and I think Feral Rage is an exciting card to have as part of the Druid toolkit.
Award for card with most fun moments: Fandral Award for card that makes me go play Wild because I miss it: Tree of Life Award for sweet new deck: N'Zoth Controladin
Man I'm pumped for OG.
