Weapons in Hearthstone Have Grown Stale
Hearthstone has come a long way as a game, but is it me or has one card type gotten left behind more than any other: Weapons? So much more is possible in that little slot to the left of your hero, yet we continually get new weapons that are a variation on a basic dull theme: a sword/axe/bow that does X damage with Y durability.
In the realm of fantasy, weapons can also be staffs, magic wands, and crystal balls that are held by wizards and priests. Not simply sharp and pointy things swung by warriors and rogues. And not every weapon has to spill blood to win a battle. They can heal, see into the future, and resurrect the dead.
Some people argue that something like a healing staff is redundant with a healing spell, but that shows little understanding of what makes Weapons special and unique in Hearthstone. Weapons are special because you spend mana this turn for an effect you can use, say, 3 turns from now, with no other additional cost.
To me, Weapons are an obvious place where Blizzard could add more gameplay variety and deeper strategy to Hearthstone, and it's already built into the game! I'd throw Weapons in with things like additional deck slots and card-text corrections as a major area of baffling neglect and lack of imagination from the Hearthstone design team.

We've talked a lot about weapons (and every card type for that matter) in the past and how we can expand upon them. I think one of the challenges in weapons is figuring out how to template the text in a way that allows us to create interesting cards without having 4-6 lines of text on every weapon.
In the case of Sword of Justice, the trigger and effect are super simple but the template is still quite long. 'Whenever you do X, Do Y and this loses one durability' is the core of the template we have now, and it's difficult to create a suite of awesome and interesting cards with that template at a reasonable text length. Maybe there is a keyword or different template we can use, but this is just one of the challenges I've seen.
I agree weapons are awesome and can be expanded upon, thanks for your input it's something I'm sure we'll revisit in the future :D.
