Once upon a time, we used a "shortcut" word on the cards once they were in the battlefield to remind you that "this guy does something". We also wrote the text for any keywords they had. At some point we realized that we could represent all of the keywords with visual effects, and all triggered powers with the little lightning bolt icon. We also have a pulsing "aura" for cards with static powers, but it's not very visible.
