Rant on Mike donais comments on cards that limit design space
In the recent QnA Mike mentioned that cards that potencionally limit future design space are: Preparation, Ice block and Malygos (among a few more).
Now why i am ranting about this and why specifically these cards did i highlight? Well as you all see these are all cards that allow combo and spell based decks to exist. Decks that are fundamentally different to play from others are a CORE PART of all card games. I dont want my game i enjoy to turn all classes that are limited into an aggro/midrange all but minion based on curve out gamplay. NO!
All the nerfs so far have mostly hit combo decks "because it is unfun to play against them". Let's be clear here: combo decks that kill you in 1 or 2 turns ar not a problem. THE LACK OF CARDS TO DISRUPT SUCH DECKS IS THE PROBLEM!!!
They talk about it so much that they rather print cards to solve problems in the meta yet the printed how many cards that actually allow players to interact agains combo decks? Dirty rat and Loatheb. Maybe kezan mystic/eater of secrets but then i'm really pushing it.
When it comes to combo decks, WHERE IS YOU POLICY AND DESIGN PHILOSOPHY TO GIVE US TOOLS TO DEAL WITH THEM???????
I dont care, make a crab that eats all enemy spells or make one for each combo piece, but don't freakin remove all deck that play different from you snowflake on curve minion synergy stone! How about not spending time on: "hmm how can we make a new vanilla card with stats not done before?" rather than not add crap like Pompus Tespian, and worgen greaser, and ADD MORE INTERESTING CARDS TO SUPPORT COUNTERPLAY! Reprint loatheb i don't care, but support all types, and don't turn this great game into aggro/curve stone more than it is going towards.

I think it's useful to consider how we define "design space". Here's something I wrote about this recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/5ql4s1/defining_complexity_depth_and_design_space/
