If Dungeon Runs are to be fun, the AI has to improve

Looking at some Dungeon Run gameplay shows the AI making misplay after misplay and that really isn't fun to fight.
Like C'mon, one of the enemies has a 0 mana hero power which heals all minions for 2, and he doesn't even use it if he's the only one with a damaged minion.
And none of the AI seem to look into if their opponent has lethal on board.
For example, if the player's minions could kill them next turn, the AI might not even trade their minions in to give themselves a chance of survival.
Obviously the AI shouldn't be unbeatable making all the right moves, but atleast let it get the obvious right.

The AI at Blizzcon is not the same AI as in the Dungeon runs. We did a pass after that. I don't expect it to be perfect but it is pretty good in most cases.

Hiya Mike, long time stoner, first time hearther. Will the AI in Solo Adventures ever be looked at?

Recently two mates of mine got into Hearthstone, so for a trip down memory lane a friend and I watched them play against the Innkeeper. What followed was fucking hilarious, and even if the AI isn't improved for them the decks should probably be modernized a little bit, but a couple of our favourite takeaways were:

    • The Mage deck still runs Azure Drake, and the Warlock deck runs Power Overwhelming – both cards that have rotated out of Standard into the Hall of Fame. Bit unfair for a new player who has never ever seen those cards before and could possibly never see them again, even if it was atonishing! when the AI 13/15 Doomguard-double-PO'd our basic deck-using buddy.

    • The AI has no clue how to play minions with targeted battlecries. Not just order - which we all know can be an endlessly complex thing - but even doing basic things like buffing the enemy's minions; the biggest offender by far being the inclusion of Youthful Brewmaster. AI will waste 10 mana Brewmastering Brewmasters over and over, it will play a minion turn 5 only to Brewmaster it before even attacking with it on turn 6, and so on. This doesn't simulate 'Playing against a new player', it simulates 'Playing against a 96-year-old who isn't sure where he is and just wants to go home and what is this computer thing in my hand Margaret where are my trousers let's go please I'm cold'.

Even without tweaking the AI, removing/substituting some of the targeted battlecries and just totally butts cards in general (Warsong Commander) would probably make it a far more engaging experience for newer players.

Though, oh man, removal priority is the funniest. AI will ignore a massive minion on board to Fireball a 1/3 Northshire Cleric. Kibler would definitely respect that draw denial.

    Edit: Shitty 3:40am typing.

Yes. The AI is being improved continuously. When K&C comes out it will be a bit better.

There will still be issues, of course, and we will keep improving it.
