Baku the Mooneater - Start of Game - if your deck only has odd-cost cards, upgrade your hero power...

but HOW Blizzard, HOW does it upgrade it? Is it exactly lie Justicar again, or something different?

It is exactly like Justicar. So if you are playing Quest Warrior and remove the executes you get tank up starting on turn 1.

/u/mdonais would be better to answer but I'm guessing now. Charged Devilsaur is tied to the battlecry, while Rush applies on Summon, so they're technically different.

exactly. They are the same in many cases, but a bit different if you are cubing them or something.

We didn't change it because Echo is just in this one set, but Unstable Evolution is pretty much exactly Echo.

How do quests work with the only even cost dude. Do you get the effect because the quest is guaranteed in your starting hand or is the check proir and you dont get it?

Quests are odd cost. You need all 30 even cost cards to run a Genn Greymane deck.

Since you're here , any update on dk rexxar? I'm excited about the new expansion but i'm also curious about if the expansion have new beast that might get included in dk rexxar pool. I hope we'll get to try the kobolds beast alongside the new expansion beast when it arrive.

So what happens if you recruit a rush minion? When you recruit a devilsaur for instance it just has normal charge and can attack heroes? Presumably this will still only be able to attack minions?

Flavor question: Why Greymane and Baku? The two seem a bit like the opposites in terms of design. What made you pair the Worgen king with a "made up" lore monster? Is there any neat little lore about Baku that you guys came up with, which is why he seems to be paired with Genn?

Hagatha, the witch of the Witchwood awakened the trees and beasts of the woods making them stronger and angrier. Baku the Mooneater is the great worm that is basically her General.

Unrelated to WoW, Baku can also be found in Earth mythology too sometimes called Bakunawa.

What's the interaction between Malchezzar and Baku? E.g. If Mal puts even cost legendaries in my deck, does that stop Baku from going off?

Just tested this and you can run both and they both trigger even if Malchezzar adds even cost cards to your deck.

Plus the describtion implies the possibilty that these heroes will start with stronger decks, so thebalance might be very different as well.

Where is Witchwood? It's not a WoW location. Is it just somewhere around Gilneas (based on the theme and worgens)?

And will there be a new hero for each class?
1. Before Hagatha the Witch moved in it was called Blackwald and it is the forest outside Gilneas.
2. Just Shaman. Hagatha is the most impotant character in the set from a story standpoint. She brought The Witchwood to life and made it all dark and spooky. We wanted to signify that by making her a hero card.
