Remnants of the Past: Mark of the Wild and Blessing of Kings

While playing Druid recently, I noticed something I didn't realize was odd until now. The text of [[Mark of the Wild]] reads: "Give a minion Taunt and +2/+2. (+2 Attack/+2 Health)". The added explanation in the parentheses is something I had never really paid attention to before, but once I noticed, I realized was unique.

After skimming the whole collection, the only other card I found with the same type of explanation for what "+n/+n" effects do is [[Blessing of Kings]]. Based on this, I thought maybe they did this for all basic cards to teach new players, but nope. Houndmaster, Shattered Sun Cleric, Frostwolf Warlord, and Stormwind Champion all have "+n/+n" abilities without any explanation.

I can't help but think that these may have been among the first Hearthstone cards to be finalized in the basic set. In later cards, they determined the explanation was unnecessary, but either chose to keep a couple cards with the explanation to help players, or simply didn't realize this inconsistency existed.

This isn't the most interesting or important post in the world, but just wanted to share this oddity I can't stop noticing every time I play one of these cards now.
