Would a "Morph" mechanic be good for hearthstone?
"Morph" is a mechanic in magic that allows you to play a minion at a different cost turning it into a 2/2 tribeless minion. Later on you may pay another cost to turn it into whatever creature it originally shows on the card, usually with an effect of some sort.
I think this would be a neat mechanic in hearthstone. However, the mechanic would probably work by adding a card to your hand after paying the reduced cost to "morph" the minion later on.
What could happen I hearthstone good and bad if this was an added mechanic? I believe it would make for some surprisingly strategic choices!
Thoughts?

I think it would have to work a bit differently in Hearthstone. Maybe more like a secret or something. We have discussed a few different versions but the complexity is pretty high and the end result wasn't worth it yet. I do imagine that we will figure out a version we like one day when we spend more time on it.
Bit o trivia for you - I was in the design meeting where we came up with Morph about 17 years ago. Paul Barclay, the rules manager at the time, pitched the idea.
