Tavern Brawl this week is... "Your Standard Brawliseum" (Aug. 7, 2019)
Description: Welcome back, gladiator! Build a deck for Standard format this time and compete for glorious prizes!
This is a Standard brawl.
The first entry is free. And since prizes follow the Arena structure, even a 0-win run will provide 1 pack (SOU, not Classic) plus something extra; see below for prize structure.
Each additional run requires an entry fee equal to an Arena run to take part in this Tavern Brawl.
Using cards in your own collection, you build a deck for the standard format.
Once you lose 3 games in the Standard Brawliseum you are out. Rewards will be given to players based on performance, equal to the Arena reward structure.
This is the 5th time we’ve seen this brawl. The last time was April 10th 2019 (also on the second day of Rise of Shadows) - Discussion thread is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/bbnq3x/this_weeks_tavern_brawl_is_your_standard/

If you're looking for deck ideas, the mod team is maintaining a streamer and community deck megathread. https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/cmroe9/saviors_of_uldum_pros_streamers_deck_lists/
The Day 2 thread will be up soon.

I don't view it as taking up a slot, even on just the free run you get more rewards than you would in a normal week. Also in the launch week we want to celebrate the new cards.

We really like running a new Brawliseum as close as possible to the expansion launch. Feel like it's most interesting when the meta is in flux, people are trying new decks, adapting old decks.
As was noticed we've done it on expansion week for the past 4 releases. Can't promise it'll always be like that but we've been happy with that strategy so far.
