Tavern Brawl this week is... "Decorating Dalaran!" (Dec. 11, 2019)
Description: "The League of E.V.I.L. is feeling festive! Build a deck to spruce up Dalaran for the holidays (and dispense with those pesky defenders). With the help of an E.V.I.L. henchperson, how many decorations can you put up?"
Format: Wild Constructed / single-player. However instead of your normal Heroes you get a "henchperson" from the ROS and/or SOU solo content, e.g. Rakanishu for Mage, Tekahn (sp?) for Warlock, with new HPs to match. Also, every few rounds "Greatfather Winter" (HS Santa) will drop an EVIL Present on the enemy side of the battlefield; it's an 0/5 that gives you a solo-content style treasure once you kill it.
Reward: the "Winter Veil Treat" card back for your first win, if your Collection lacks it (at least according to this: https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/hearthstone/23239988/welcoming-the-return-of-winter-veil ). If you already have that card back, you get one Classic pack for your first win.
History: This is the first time we've seen this TB format. However it reminded me of Decorating Stormwind from 2017 ( https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Decorating_Stormwind ). And that in turn was an update of Storming Stormwind from 2016 ( https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Storming_Stormwind ).
Reminder: If you didn't log in for the DOD launch yesterday, you have a pile of goodies waiting for you, among them a new legendary quest that awards a DOD pack for playing 30 cards. The follow-up quest, now out today, awards a DOD pack & an ROS pack when you "Draw 30 cards in any mode."
Also, in case the TB's theme didn't clue you in, the Winter Veil holiday has begun. That means special "Greetings" emotes & snow-covered art for the Orgrimmar and Stormwind battlefields. Enjoy!

Not entirely, but yeah we're skipping it for this launch. Working to be sure the issues we had last time in 15.6 are fully resolved.
Joemag
Hey folks, we're aware of this issue and are working on a fix. Going to be removing that treasure from the EVIL Gift, will ping this when that rolls out.
Joemag
Any brawliseum, the issue was unrelated to the Battle of the Bans mechanic.
Joemag
Working as intended, they work more like a persistent aura. The Battlecry is more of a misnomer, will make sure to remove if/when we run something similar.
Joemag
Yeah, that's being handled separately. This is just to get it out of the brawl.
