@Old_GuardianHS @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS Reasonable feedback, but I'd flip things around. The problem you point out is that players with new collections are matched against people with Tier1 meta decks in Apprentice ranks, and that's not a fun experience. The right solution probably isn't to just remove progression.

@Old_GuardianHS @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS The right solution is probably to handle matchmaking better for these new collection players, so they aren't put into that situation in the first place. (Which we're working on.)

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS The two solutions are not mutually exclusive. Building a brand new experience takes time. Fixing the Core set issue would be fast and easy. You can both build towards the perfect world and apply quick fixes to make the current one better.

@Old_GuardianHS @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS I think for players like the kind you're thinking of, there already is an instant solution: skip the apprentice ranks. For players who do want the apprentice ranks, 'fixing' the Core set as you describe would absolutely destroy their progression gameplay.

@Old_GuardianHS @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS One improvement here that's coming here in a future patch: Picking your free deck raises all classes to level 10, not just your chosen class.

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS It is more than just being matched against better decks. It is also about a fundamental lack of options for a new player: even after you unlock a class, you do not have the cards to do anything with it.

@Old_GuardianHS @PlayHearthstone @IksarHS Exactly, and that's a *very* good thing for a truly new player. That process of starting simple and growing is absolutely essential for new players.
