@bbrode @wildrift i believe the original intent was this prevents players from effectively holding a champ hostage by hovering it which isn't super intuitive. it also reduces confusion in a world where people hover a bunch of champs just absently tapping at the start of champ select. @RiotSapmagic

@draggles @bbrode @wildrift The main reason we did this was because you might have good reasons for wanting to ban a powerful champion, especially if your teammate hovering it has last pick. We also wanted to avoid griefing: hover a strong champ even though you don't plan to play it so it can't be banned.

@RiotSapmagic @draggles @wildrift haha well in my recent game, one of our teammates didn't even notice his other teammate had picked a character. Perhaps a "are you sure you want to ban this one? Your teammate has it selected" would go a long way here. He felt super bad about accidentally screwing someone.

@bbrode @draggles @wildrift I *might* be mistaken, but I think we added a warning like that. Possible it's not doing its job or maybe we removed it at some point. Mister @CestDommage could probably tell you. Sorry for the crappy experience nonetheless. I feel your pain X_X

@draggles @RiotSapmagic @wildrift @CestDommage Seems reasonable - if i may make a suggestion: in the selection process, perhaps glow or otherwise differentiate pre-selected characters? Maybe put the icon of the role that selected it overlaid on it? Then you get 'notified' but in advance

@bbrode @draggles @RiotSapmagic @wildrift Howdy, so yeah the feature you're describing (you sure you wanna?) does exist in LoL PC but the reasons stated for not doing make well and good sense on Wild Rift. Tons of fun design space in Champ select, but I'll leave that to the WR team's talents ;D
