Just got OTKed turn 4 because shaman had fireshaper unstable evolution and khadghars scrying orb... I know thats incredibly rare, but is stuff like this (1 card OTKs) OK to be in the game? I honestly don't like the idea of that. Maye unstable evo needs echo treatment.

Oh, this was meant with @Tabayrak of course.

@CroqueHs In short, nope that isn't ok. One of my goals with the larger update (not this one coming up) will be to pull the power down quite a bit on things like mana reduction and other generically powerful Passive Treasures.

@CroqueHs I think it is ok to have really powerful treasures but for them to be focused for instance the dragon treasures, and divine shield treasures I feel are pretty successful in that space. You need a specific deck and most of the time you need both treasures for them to feel insane.

@Tabayrak @CroqueHs This seems so good. I would love to see a meta more incentrated around strictly keyword/tribe synergistic Treasures (like for Mechs, Dragon, Taunt, Rush, ecc.) Instead of: "play generic Battlecry card/play only spells and hit the Op treasure"

@HSPersia @CroqueHs Yep, a bit of a behind the curtains. When duels was first made we didn't have a way to point treasures so we leaned on more generic treasures. I know a bunch of people like fully random treasures, but having more specialized passive means you would get more nonbos than ever.

@HSPersia @CroqueHs As we get more supporting systems online we are able to start cooking with gas. The duels community has been super patient and all around wonderful and I really look forward to the big one and the content that follows!

@Tabayrak @CroqueHs Personally, I like Duels (and Dungeon Run) for the feeling of Deck progression and optimization that they can give during the run. Start a run with a bunch of cards and an ideal strategy in mind and try to perform the better that you can by using what you can get. 1/3

@Tabayrak @CroqueHs With the arrival of some generic-too-strong Treasures, all Decks and classes started to feel the same with some better than others in abusing the treasures. For many people, this is when Duels started to feel like a power crept ladder. 2/3

@Tabayrak @CroqueHs The reason why I like so much the idea of more (and better) treasure with unique synergies is that this would lead to a more varied meta with a lot of different decks. Instead of Battlecry Warrior, Shaman, and Lock, we would have things like MechWar, TotemSham, and DemonLock. 3/3

@HSPersia @Tabayrak Regarding progression, I think card games that nailed this are the famous Slay the Spire and the recent Roguebook. What those games do is start you off with a super generic deck, and your job as a player is to find direction and synergy in the things you find along the way.

@CroqueHs @Tabayrak The possibilities are infinite, literally. And that's why i'm excited. Just think about Bob's Tavern, only its introduction would give so much freshness to the gameplay
