        @SilentNickHS The Buddy Meter fills when you enter combat, deal damage or pop a Divine Shield, or win or tie combat. There's also a small bonus for the size of your warband at the start of combat.

        @PillarBear @HSesports A few names like "Companions", "Sidekicks", and "Friends" were considered but ultimately "Buddies" had the best vibe.

      @PlayHearthstone The meter is based on combat ability, but what about heroes who thrive more on being passive until they have a "pop-off" turn. For example Alexstrasza, Eudora, Shudderwock, Ysera, and A.F. Kay. How are they going to compete if they aren't able to fight properly early on?

        @MewwyHS All of the Buddies are matched with Heroes that help balance their strengths. Like any true buddy should! Some heroes have Tier 2 Buddies and some have Tier 3 or 4 buddies.

      @PlayHearthstone Will Buddies with minion types cause those heroes to not be offered in lobbies without the matching minion type? For example, Guff is in all lobbies now, but his Buddy is a beast. Will Guff no longer be offered in lobbies where beasts are banned?

        @JocePlays Those heroes will still be offered. Only heroes previously affected by the class type will be removed from the lobby (Example: Ysera, Patches)

      @PlayHearthstone Popping divine shields gives progress towards buddies... does popping reborn or deathrattles do the same? Why divine shields specifically?

        @Corpssavy66 Those other attacks are covered by "dealing damage." Divine Shield is special because it blocks the damage--we didn't want you to get punished for going up against a Divine Shield comp.

      @PlayHearthstone Please tell me the Ragnaros Buddy has a voice line like Ragnaros but is higher pitched? Also when will Rattlegore make voice go higher in pitch based off of his respawn stats
