@lunaloveee8 RPG Maker is specifically for this, and I have loved it for that. It’s great especially for non-devs, but people who know more about programming can pop open the hood and do a whole lot more with it.

@hsdecktech @lunaloveee8 rpgmaker is great for figuring it out on your own unity probably better if you are the kind of person that wants to read documentation for everything, tons of documentation, videos, classes, etc unreal used to be a little higher complexity but I've heard that's gotten better

@hsdecktech RNG Maker seems promising. Do you know if I'll be able to add my own mini games within it or are they kind of inflexible with that?

@lunaloveee8 As a non-programmer, I personally was a little limited to specifically using mini-games that other people had already created plugins for--and I was not really able to tweak those to make them my own.

@lunaloveee8 But people who have more programming skills totally use those plugins as a launching off point to make things different.

@lunaloveee8 There's a pretty solid community of people who used RPG Maker, so there are lots of options for plugins, tilesets, tutorials, etc. The community's a little dated now, though, so it's not as good for like active communication.

@lunaloveee8 This guy SRDude has a great tutorial series to teach you the basics. It's funny in a kinda dumb/cringe way, easy to follow and informative. From there, his site has a ton of cool plugins you can use, plus links to Yanfly and HIME for more plugins. https://t.co/EI87zrlVwR
