My 2 cents, since we’re all chiming in: Nobody wants bugs, least of all the devs. But they’re impossible to completely avoid in a game with the size, complexity, and content schedule as Hearthstone.

Player frustration is totally understandable, but going after devs is misdirected. They work super hard to avoid tons of bugs you never see and to fix those that you do.

As for bugs and “cheating.” IMO, the client is more analogous to the ref than the god. Just bc you can get something by the ref, doesn’t mean it’s allowed. And you might be able to use bugs without getting ejected, but it’s still cooler if you don’t.

@hsdecktech Zeddy just showing again his twisted thinking: devs aren't human - they aren't allowed any mistakes - they must be punished for everything slightly negative happening in the game (bugs, non-intended interactions or even balance issues). I don't know why people listen him.

@SnuggleKingHS I’m not calling him out in particular. He’s the loudest person (particularly on twitter) who is calling this out, but I know he’s voicing opinions like many others.

@hsdecktech as a PM I say we need to go for the pms and upwards. businesspeople get greedy and push impossible deadlines onto product and dev. im 99% sure they knew about the battlecry bug before launch.

@OakDota2 I’m 99% sure they didn’t know about it before launch, because it would very likely have been fixed if they did and also because it was never brought up to go in the known issues.

@hsdecktech Agreed. However, is it that much of a stretch to disable bugged cards that actually break the game? I’m not advocating toxicity, but when shop bugs are fixed or disabled within mere hours, you can’t think it’s weird for a community to be in uproar about something this big.

@xClusiveHS Just answered a similar ask in another thread: https://t.co/P5I8j6Tw4J

@hsdecktech Thank you Nicholas. So it actually is that big of a stretch huh? I won’t pretend to know anything about the work being done. Looking forward to the fix to properly enjoy Tides!

@xClusiveHS It’s just set up differently than the shop product stuff, and players have different reactions to it being disabled, too. Team’s working on trying to make it an easier task, though.
