Question for AAA devs: it's generally agreed that auteur theory is mostly nonsense and it takes a village to make a large project. However, have you found that if there isn't one clear vision holder on a AAA project, you end up with a game that 'doesn't know what it wants to be'?

      @AndyHeatherUK Imo, there should be a single person ultimately responsible for the vision of any given feature. In my experience, consensus decision making leads to mediocre projects. That said, usually great leads delegate or trust craft experts to make most decisions on a thing.
