Saw there was some confusion about what Runestones could be used for, what Gold can be used for, etc., so we added some graphics to the Overview blog to help clear it up. https://t.co/KYSrwsMQqJ https://t.co/ij8kscCfen

Runestones mostly just replaces IRL money options on things. Except for BG Perks, everything that Gold could previously buy, Gold can still buy.

Runestones bundles are intended to match common pricing, to try to avoid the "extra Runestones" problem. Pricing is trying to be clear, easy conversions (based on USD). No product irl costs are changing.

@hsdecktech Then isn’t this just an extra step between the customer and the cosmetic/whatever it is they want? Why?

@Big_Bro_Katsu The benefit of Runestones overall is they let us offer smaller products. This just makes the higher-end of that system avoid the issues that some virtual currencies have.

@hsdecktech Ah, okay. Is there a reason you can tell us about that you can’t put those smaller items out right now, without the runestones?

@Big_Bro_Katsu That’s all I have right now, sorry.

@hsdecktech What is the reason for preventing the purchase of mini sets with money? It's a larger transaction than the smallest runestone purchase.

@NautThatMeta There are two purchase options for each product. The packs have three options, but that's technically because the packs for Gold product option is set up as another product.

@hsdecktech @NautThatMeta Why decks and adventures have only one option?

@SilentNickHS @NautThatMeta Correction to first response: up to* two options per product. Runestones replace money in most cases, so some things that were previously money only are now Runestones only.

@hsdecktech On the infographic it says that adventures are now purchasable for runestones, but if I already own a wing of a solo adventure can I buy the other wings for gold like I could before?

@quaileatingduck Yeah, I’m asking for clarification on exactly how it all works, but the Gold options weren’t taken away.

@hsdecktech Ok so just to clarify if I can purchase it for gold now I will be able to do so after the update correct?

            @quaileatingduck Yes

@hsdecktech Will we still be able to do Arena runs with gold??? Please say yes. Ty !

@7Itsomar Yep, that's covered under the "Tavern Tickets"--you can still get them for Gold.

@hsdecktech wait so you can just flat out BUY decks now?

Posted 3 years, 3 months ago (Source)
@hsdecktech If this is 100% true I REALLY disagree! i know its not your doing and thank you for the clarification in the future however this makes standard p2w when you already have to dust entire decks to keep up with the shifting meta every month or so and now you can just drop money?

Posted 3 years, 3 months ago (Source)
@hsdecktech also slight feed back on this! IF you are going to make it so you can just buy whole ass decks with these runestones you need to make it so you can buy it with gold too or this really just enunciates the p2w.

@VGhostx714 I don't think this is announcing anything new--because I think we would have announced it, instead of just throwing it into a chart--I think this is referring to things like when we did the Battle-Ready decks.

@hsdecktech What about gifting? Will you be able to spend Runestones to gift items (or even just send runestones to people)?
      • hsdecktech

Posted 3 years, 3 months ago (Source)
@GuyGrumpy Runestones are in-game only and gifting is on web-only, so I don’t think you can spend Runestones to gift. I’m not sure if you can buy Runestones for another player.
