Managed to pilot a Gliscor/Arcanine/Gengar Lost Origin prerelease kit to a 4-0 finish last night and won the tourney! Sage finished 3rd with Dustox. Prize packs were as OP as Gliscor. https://t.co/9xWr9RPdNs

@Songbird_HS Those black and gold cards are so cool looking. I haven't seen one in person, I bet it hits different.

@DukeBurden The Mew is part of a subset of character card in the set that are less rare than a normal hit, so in theory easier to find. They're beautiful.

@DocMcButt Dude they were so good! Helped that 1st place prizing was like 24 packs which is nuts. Ended up with the equivalent of almost a whole box between myself and Sage.

@Songbird_HS Rare Pokemon cards are just stunning. Every time I see them it makes me want to pick the game up again lol

@09mshatraw I'm justifying it by saying I'll actually play this season instead of just buying cards and sticking them in a binder forever lol. Hearthstone will always be the priority, but Pokemon is just really fun.

@Songbird_HS I have nobody to play with me or I would do the exact same thing

@09mshatraw My brother builds old Yugioh decks, I build modern Pokemon decks, and then we suck it up and play both games so each of us has a practice partner lol. It works out alright.

@Songbird_HS How difficult do you think it'd be to teach a smart 7 year old how to play this game? My nephew is really into collecting these cards and keeps asking me how to play the actual game. I've never played it so I don't know.

@adam_noodelman It's definitely going to be easier the better he is at reading, but I will say there are some absolutely phenomenal players around 7/8ish years old. It's definitely not too young, and there is specifically a competitive age division for Junior players.

@Songbird_HS What’s a good channel or site to help my 8 year old learn strategies? Definitely for her, not me.

@GluchLucky There's loads of Pokémon TCG YouTubers/Streamers that make educational content around various decks. Not 100% sure which are family friendly, but if you look at decklists on Limitlesstcg you should be able to find walk-throughs on all of them.

@GluchLucky In general, Arceus Vstar, Palkia Vstar, and the Inteleon engine with the Shady Dealings ability is a good chunk of the meta right now. I would recommend picking up the Ice Rider Calyrex Battle Deck and starting there! It's fairly competitive and really fun.

@Songbird_HS How big of a jump is it from the level 1 to Level 3? We struggled with a Level 1 Melmetal deck that seemed like a ramp deck by cheating out extra Energy cards.

@GluchLucky Hmm not sure. I'm not familiar with the Melmetal deck, but the Calyrex deck might play similarly, and is decently straightforward. It's all about using Drizzile and Inteleon to search cards from your deck, and then basically using the same attack on Calyrex VMAX every turn.

@GluchLucky There are definitely resources that can break it down better than I can.

@Ace103HS They make the average pack opening feel more worthwhile. And they're much nice to look at than Break cards from a while back.
