@PlayHearthstone I don't understand your reasoning behind saying "we don't want to add many keywords so players don't get confused" but feel ok adding wording that doesn't make sense or needs testing to check like "shreds" from meat wagon or "into the future" for this card @Celestalon (1/2)

@PlayHearthstone @Celestalon At some point, "Poisonous" was not a keyword, but text, and you were ok turning it into one. Why is "evasive" not yet a keyword when the newest card, Anti-magic shell, basically turns your minions "evasive"? Is it better to clog with "can't be targeted by spells or HP" ? (2/2)

@cero0uno1dos2 @PlayHearthstone It's a matter of how much it's used. We've highly considered keywording Evasive, but it's never quite been worth it. It's a little more common in this expansion, but not likely to stay that common in the future.

@cero0uno1dos2 @PlayHearthstone Another factor is whether the cards using that effect *need* more cardtext space. In this case, we weren't looking to put more complex effects on those potentially-Evasive cards.

@cero0uno1dos2 @PlayHearthstone Like if we wanted to do "After you play an Evasive minion, gain +1/+1.", that'd be an argument for Evasive to be a keyword. But we didn't have any of those designs in mind. Thus, not much upside to Evasive being a keyword, so we just spell it out.

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone Thank you for the response! Tho it is somewhat contradictory when we have one-time keywords like Spellburst, twinspell, Corrupt, Infuse (so far), Adapt, Echo, Colossal, Dredge, Honorable Kill, Frenzy, Inspire, Invoke and Overkill. (1/?)

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone For instance, First Flame and Second Flame are essentially, just "twinspell" with a different name (which in theory, means each spell is different despite doing exactly the same, just like "twin slice"). Or "echo" and Maki Roll / Witches' brew (2/?)

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone When you say "cards with synergy", we have 0 synergy with "honorable kill" as a "summon honorable kill minions" (that we do have for frenzy, with Varok). So for some keywords, we have one-timers, no synergy and yet, they get their own keywords for 1 and only 1 expansion (3/?)

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone While it's true evasive is not "that common", it gets new cards every expansion at some point, and the only contingency is the case where "sometimes", it allows only you to target it. Then it could be "evasive against your enemies only". (4/?) https://t.co/MMB0nOzSVh

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone The argument of "there are not enough cards" well...you can always make them? Evasive and Cleave are the only "old data" mechanics that we know and recognize for a name, yet we don't have them as "keywords". Maybe it's time to get them back on track? 😳📯 (5/5) https://t.co/pCFjZ8W4Ze

@cero0uno1dos2 @PlayHearthstone The other examples you cited here are perfect examples of where it has been worth it. Spellburst and Honorable Kill, for example, would take up considerable cardtext to spell out, limiting what designs we could put on them. "After the first time you cast a spell," etc.

@Celestalon @PlayHearthstone Maybe the reason this effect isn't used much is bc it's too long. For example, a naga with rush that after casting a fel spell, gains "cleave". Currently, gaining this effect is too long is not doable, Zilleax can't have it. e.g. (Honorable kill "After an exact killing blow"...)

@cero0uno1dos2 @PlayHearthstone I hear what you're saying, but it goes the other direction. We aren't limited from doing those designs if we wanted to. We just haven't found those designs fun enough to want to print them. If we did, we would.
