I’m thinking about ways to bring better incentives to Hearthstone players to reward them for playing and having fun. What would you like to see? It doesn’t even have to be something we offer in the game right now.

@themattlondon 1. Sell Mercenaries Portraits as Traditional HS portraits 2. Tournament Mode 3. 2v2 Mode

@HolyKnight077 2 and 3 are features. What would you want to be playing for in tournament mode? Merc portraits?

@themattlondon I think reward personalization would be cool. The reason Snap's card progression feels so rewarding is that every player has a different priority. Look at MY golden Jubilee! While someone else says look at my INKY Magneto! It has so many permutations that it feels personalized.

@themattlondon Hearthstone portraits are cool, we like them, but we all get the same one at the same time on the track, brawl, etc. There's less agency over our rewards and you don't feel unique or like you're moving them towards any sort of goal, they are merely one-offs here and there.

@themattlondon Now I know Snap has an incredibly complex system built into the core of the progression, but I wonder if Scarlet had an Unholy, Blood, and Frost version, and you got to pick one of the three. Would even that have been more engaging and built a connection to it?

@themattlondon I also think this sorta stuff makes gameplay more interesting, because it gives you things to know about your opponent. Ohhh they have gone hard upgrading this card/portrait/whatever, so they must play it a ton. Oh they're a "Frost Scarlet" player, what a jerk, haha.

@themattlondon I recognize we have some of that in place with 1,000 portraits and so on, and those are great moments with a new class "wow they're already 1,000 wins for DK", but it falls off fairly fast and it's rather limited currently.

@RegisKillbin Great thoughts as always, Regis. Thanks for these.
