(1/9) So as a player, it is important to have a positive relationship with the dev team of a game you like. As players we want to feel heard and feel like our issues matter, but we can never have this if we give no compassion/respect for the devs of the games we love https://t.co/QrFploOkeL

(2/9) Devs and their teams are people too and might make judgment calls that might feel unfun or bad for the game, and we as players should call out bad/unfun things in said game but do it from a place of compassion and respect for the people who worked on said game.

(4/4) A couple months back there was a bug that prevented me from purchasing anything from the in game store as well as being unable to use the in game currency. At this time there was a heroic tavern brawl that required gold to enter and had a skin attached that i wanted.

(5/9) Needless to say i was annoyed and the bug report features did not help so i took a leap and asked @hsdecktech for some assistance, with knowing there was only so much he and his team could do to help in the situation.

(6/9) Knowing that i made sure i was respectful and appreciative of anything he would say not expecting he'd respond at all. and he eventually did respond which at the time meant alot that he'd take the time to talk to little ol me.

(7/9) He talked to me and updated me threw the process of this bug and even gave me a work around for the bug before the work around was officially posted on the forums.

(8/9) I still ended up missing the skin opportunity and doing the heroic tavern brawl as the fix came after. which sucks of course but i still felt good to have this interaction because i felt heard and at the same time i hope @hsdecktech felt respected by me.

(9/9) in conclusion, its not hard to give compassion/respect to people. both Devs and players want whats best for the hobby that we love and we can do a much better job to make the experience for all a positive one that will make players feel heard and devs feel respected.

@skullyz_z I get lots of player contacts. Like Mort, and probably most public devs, most of them are neutral/positive, some of them not so much. I remember this incident and your patience and understanding stood out to me. I’m sorry we couldn’t help with the issue, but I’m glad we spoke. 💙
