I wish I remembered the rules! But I remember the basics: - it was supposed to go with my sprawling RPG (lol), so the game kind of mimicked RPG combat - you had had characters, items, and abilities - characters were a separate deck from the rest

- both players secretly picked their starting party and bench , then revealed at the start of game - the deck of abilities and items was randomized and drawn from each turn (2 draws per turn, I think)

- each turn you could have each active character defend for free, switch with bench (even if KO’d), or use an action card - “attack” was an ability you could have as many of in your deck as you wanted, the others were limited

- you won by wiping your opponent’s entire team - I also had a Pokémon “prize” system so you couldn’t just keep reviving your team - I don’t remember how the costs and health and stuff worked, but looking at the cards they look like mtg planeswalkers

The “development” side is another story, but the TL;DR is that the RPG cut the card game for being obviously out of scope and also because Hearthstone was too good, lol
