C'Thun is one of the most overrated cards I've ever seen. Consistently drags down win rates of archetypes, and the moment it's cut, the decks rise to another level. It's a lazy deck building trap that stifles creativity. We can do better, and if we can't, the deck probably sucks.

I suspect people aren't as quick to cut it because they can't see how much the pieces suck on HSReplay. They suck, a LOT. You're basically shoving 4 patches into your deck. That will hurt you in every matchup, even the ones you think it doesn't.

@ZachODR I suspect the reason is more likely because it’s fun and they enjoy using the card ....

@IksarHS There are many top players that are convinced it’s actually competitively strong. They’re not just playing the card for fun, so it’s not the whole story though can explain some of its popularity

@ZachODR @IksarHS My greater issue with it is I've played quite a bit of the card (for fun) and I think actually cast C'Thun a grand total of 2-3 times. That's a bad fun ratio. Still seems mad to me that he goes into your deck rather than hand. Would the latter be too strong?!

@timothydclark @ZachODR I think the question is more how many pieces should there be, not should it go into your hand or deck. When it goes into your hand you never get to play it because your opponent concedes right away if they can't kill you that turn.
