@Celestalon can I ask, other than playing on Mobile, what are things you like about WR (or league in general) that you feel HotS lacks?

@Kelesti_ I love HotS too. I don't like LoL. The portability of mobile isn't a factor for me (at least not yet, haven't played outside of sitting at home). But the controls feel WAY better. A control stick is infinitely better than discrete click to move, IMO.

@Kelesti_ I'd also say that from a game design PoV, LoL is absolutely rife with low-impact complexity, and Wild Rift has simplified a LOT of that. (HotS is also WAY better at that than LoL)

@Kelesti_ WR also fixed one of the biggest design problems that LoL has, the TopRight vs BottomLeft issue. (They solved it by adding rotation instead of doing Left vs Right like HotS, which I don't see the advantage of, but at least they make it really obvious.)

@Celestalon by "rotation" do you mean both teams just think they're bottom left?

@Kelesti_ Yes. LoL/WR uses strongly encouraged roles (which has its own pros/cons), so UI loudly directs you toward whether the duo lane is top or bot for you each game (with voice over saying it, and your view starting out normal and then rotating to make sure you don't miss it).

@Celestalon interesting. Are you looking forward to trying Pokémon Unite on Switch (or on Mobile)? playing there should also come with a stick :D

@Kelesti_ Haven't even heard of it. Looking at it now, it looks like another moba, not super attracted to it, but I'd give it a shot.

@Celestalon hard capped timer on matches. Two lanes instead of three. Skills/moves instead of an item shop (replacing low impact complexity). And a unique scoring mechanism, rather than core killing. It's… different enough, and what I liked about hots was the difference, I'm… curious?

@Kelesti_ Oh, right, that's one other huge improvement on WR vs LoL. Match time is WAY shorter. 15-20min vs 30-40min.

@Celestalon I don't know many phones that could do a 40 minute match without plugging in, and if you have to be corded what's the point :P

@Kelesti_ I've actually been extremely impressed with WR's battery usage. I played for about 1.5hr so far tonight, and am still at 72%. That's on iPad, haven't tried it much on my iPhone.
