Mighty vs Tempest - Fierce battle for No.3

The lower brackets of the playoff begins with a fierce battle between Mighty and Tempest to decide who is the current No.3 team of Korea. Mighty is coming from a difficult battle against TNL, where Noblesse' god-mode hooks dismantled them in the last game. The veteran shot-calling of Mighty's kong was able to keep up with TNL in the early game, but the team didn't have the right coordination to match TNL in team fights. The relative inexperience their support, ZZhangman also became apparent, as he was unable to pre-Cleanse any of Noblesse's hooks. The team has been rumored to have been practicing with MVP Black a lot in the past week, and absorbed lot of MVP Black's knowledge. The team would need to make maximum use of what they learned this past few days to outdraft their opponents to cover their relatively weak team fighting presence.

Tempest on the other hand, managed to get a surprise victory over MVP Black in their first game, only to be crushed mercilessly in the subsequent games where MVP Black turned up their rage mode. If Mighty's problem was team fights, Tempest's problem was shot calling and control. While their hyper-aggressive nature is what fuels their strong team fights that often catch the top teams off guard, their inability control themselves and engage recklessly also end up causing them to throw games. It is a style that HongCoNo, dami, and duckdeok carried ever since their time at MRR, which have been their biggest strength and weakness at the same time. The team has been showing great improvements throughout this season, and we would have to see how much they managed to learn from their loss against MVP Black.

The Gate Keeper TNL

Based on the performance we've seen throughout this season, there is little doubt in TNL's ability to advance to the grand final regardless of which team advances to the lower bracket final. As a veteran team, TNL has shown clear dominance over any Korean team not named MVP Black, and that seem unlikely to change if everything goes as expected. The biggest concern is TNL's mental state after their crushing loss against MVP Black, but they have bounced back up from so many hopeless situations in the past that it might be silly to even be worried about them. If anything, MVP Black has shown to have have greater faith on TNL than even TNL themselves. Sake has been seen encouraging a worrisome CMoving that everything will be fine, that they'll be boarding the flight to Sweden together holding hands ;) It won't be easy for either Mighty or Tempest to break through the iron gate of TNL, but that is what it takes to earn a ticket to the World Championship and represent Korea alongside MVP Black.
