Undocumented PTR Change: Nova finally has her eye color fixed from blue to green!

Been ranting about this for a while, Heroes made her blue eyed and it became such a prevalent thing that it looped back into StarCraft comics (you can see it in The Keep and several Shadow Wars issues) and into Overwatch. But at long last it's been fixed! Thank you Blizzard for your futile attempts to please us unpleasable lore nitpicking fanboys.

Now we just have to get Overwatch to fix the Widowmaker Nova skin, the last bastion of the blue-eyed menace.

Nova's eyes are suppose to be blue per Starcraft lore.

Nope. Nova's eyes are green per StarCraft lore actually. You can check it in StarCraft 2 (both Wings of Liberty and Covert Ops campaigns). In last Shadow Wars comics her eyes are also green. It's even mentioned in StarCraft Ghost: Nova novel. And even in Heroes of the Storm launch cinematic trailer her eyes are clearly green. That's why people asked to remove wrong blue eye color from HotS ingame default model.

My mistake. You're right. I got it backwards. You're just asking for a more intense green. I'll look into it.

Hello there ! Is this possible to do the same with Widowmaker Nova model in Overwatch ? Thanks !

You can ask the Overwatch team. We aren't involved with making decisions in their game. :)

This change is barely noticeable to be honest. In most screens (especially hero select screen) it's rather dark blue/aquamarine. If you just shared eyes color from 2nd or 3rd tint it would look better and difference would be actually noticeable without close zoom.

/u/Subsourian has been asking for this for a very long time. They were shared between the second and third tint... they were green like those two variations. Changing it back would be a step backward in the intent.

I guess you don't understand me. I don't ask to change it back. I say even after change it still looks too blueish. I checked her eyes in hero select screen, in collection, in try mode, in profile. I barely see difference between live and ptr versions. You could make it more green on 1st tint (at least like it's on 2nd tint or 3rd tint currently where green eye color is really noticeable).

PS: Screenshot provided by Subsourian is not very fair. Sure, people will look at these 2 big boxes with color example and say it's different. But would they notice difference if people only looked at Nova's eyes before and after. I don't think so.

I see the problem. Her eyes should be blue in her base not Green which is what the change was. The graphic provided is backwards. Hope that clears things up!

So you mean you added green color on top of base blue eye color? And their mix gave this new color on ptr version, right? And there is no other way to change base eye color on 1st tint to make it more greenish like on 2nd or 3rd tints? It's because of that blue in her 1st tint base that can't be changed itself. Did I get it right?

I didn't add green at all. What I did was change it from green to Blue. Nova's eyes are suppose to be blue per Starcraft lore. The tints are tints and could be changed to whatever color we want.
