Now that Season 3 is almost over i hope its not the only HL solo season

I really appreciate what u guys did to HL i was able to climb diamond 3 for the first time(was plat 4 last season), hope u guys keep this change. Maybe the only change it needs is TL i guess

HL is far more popular, so the slight upgrade in one mode likely results in bigger impact to player satisfaction than the larger (not unplayable) change in the other.

It's not just the increase in quality of HL. The core issue with TL previously was low population. These changes solved that issue, but introduced a different one with the 2/3 disparity which has made the overall match quality about the same now as it was before.

So, TL matchmaking right now is just as good/bad as it was previously, but is in a much more "fixable" spot. If we can sort out the 2/3 disparity, the population is otherwise high enough to get low queue times and quality matches.

We're going to keep the HL/TL changes for at least the next season. There's a more formal update coming.

Overall, the changes have been positive, even though TL is still making problematic matches far more frequently than it should.

HL match quality is slightly improved and the overall sentiment has been positive.

TL population is much higher than it was before the changes, but the match quality is roughly the same due to the number of players queuing up as 2s relative to the number of 3s needed to match with them.

We're looking into some ways to address the 2/3 issue in TL, including additional ways to encourage players in TL who are queuing as 2s to add a 3rd when the number of 2s vs 3s is causing extended queue times. Once we get that sorted out, TL should be in a much better state than before the changes.
