NATIVE English speakers, how terrible item/rune/etc. names are for you?
Even though League is available in my native language, I've never used it except for a few minutes when it was launched. Reading those translated item names make me feel like one of those extremely exaggerated caricature geeks. Those you can't understand a single word of, because every single sentence they form are filled with geek terminology, abbreviations and what not.
I've always wondered: does it feel the same in English for native English speakers?
Edit: reading the comments it seems like that English names for native English speakers aren't a problem. It seems like that the main reason is the fact that when Riot names an item in English, they probably care about how it sounds, not only what it means. I ran through the item list, actually there are tons of rhymes, internal rhymes or vowel harmony (excuse me if these are not the correct names for them) in the item names: Dead Man's Plate, Essence Reaver, Ardent Censer. Or they alliterate as in: Death's Dance, Duskblade (of) Draktharr, Frostfang, Sightstone. So they simply feel nice to the ears for whatever reason. But once the regions start translating them, they in most cases lose this trait, as translators only care about the best possible translation, not how they sound, so it might be harsh for the ears.

I'm pretty sure there's a secret room where only a couple rioters are allowed in, and in this room there are two buckets and after some ritual someone sticks their hands into both buckets and pulls out two words and that's how we name things, please correct me if I'm wrong.
