Picking up Honey Fruit cancels Garen's passive

I guess it's because it acts as a hostile effect since it slows you, but I'm pretty sure it's not intended to interrupt things like that.

It also consumes Draven's spinning axe.

Do you have special steps to make this happen, or a video clip of it? Axes bounce off plants normally for me.

Don't know if you've seen it in this thread already but there are also problems with Poppy's passive shield not returning to her after killing a plant, and honey fruit generating Gnar rage.

Yeah those two are technically behaving as expected (that's what you'd get if you attacked an enemy ward and didn't trigger kill effects). Possible we should make exceptions there though.

Thanks for the heads-up. Went ahead and made Garen passive, Malzahar passive, Quinn R, and Serrated Dirk items not interrupted by Honeyfruit slow.

For the sake of most interactions, plants are considered a Neutral Ward that's exempt from on-kill effects (no Nasus stacks sry). When we made wards exempt from on-enter-combat triggers there were some gaps (since historically wards don't put CC on champs).

    Fixes in 6.23 (next patch).
