Alright, Quit Playing Riot. Game Definitely Releases in November Right?
Besides a few concerns and some balance adjustment the game literally feels like this play test COULD have been the release. It's great and hard to put down. I'm curious what is actually holding back the release so much that they want it out "later" 2020. Is it just working on servers to sustain a larger population? Or is it because they want to launch mobile at the same time?
Anyway, great job on the game. I came from MMORPGS to League, then TFT caught my eye, and now this. Really feels like Riot is going to gigantic in the coming years.

Only thing I can say for now is that the mode is called Expeditions and it is a PvP experience. But more details are coming Soontm

We are exploring a lot of different pathways for social play, but so far we are not sure which option among the many is the best for our players. It may be some time before those features are released, but I am pretty involved in a lot of discussion of ways we can make playing LoR a more social experience.

I have those memories too! I started playing MtG when I was 10 and I would beg my parents to take me to the card store on the weekends. Good times!
We also want to see what formats the community gravitates to and serve those needs. Commander in MtG is a good example: it was a format made by players that later got official support.

I am happy that you are enjoying LoR so much!
Regarding release, there are some features that we consider "must have" to make the player experience fully satisfying in closed beta. These features include:
Beyond these features, we want to make the experience even better (stability, bugfixes, etc) to deliver a game that is up to the standards of the community.
