Great catch! We were wondering if anyone would notice :)
I totally understand a lot of the initial doubt in the community when we discussed our commitment to continually improving LoR...but hopefully you will start to see that we plan to back the talk up!
Although new content and new features are always going to be part of our plans in the future, I've never seen a team THIS dedicated to making sure everything is awesome. We won't always be able to spend this much effort on content you've already seen, but for now this was something we really wanted to do.
It's nice to see devs caring about such little details but I can't understand the worry about players' trust in your commitment. After lifting the NDA, testers already showed us the gameplay and it looks good, imho, very good.
I'm more worried about the core like economics, balancing and progression system. These are defining factors and, imho, you can sacrifice some "Shiny!" moments to polish them. Well, I'm pretty sure Riot already got it covered ^^
Cheer up and don't fret over "initial doubt in the community" - you aren't Bioware working on ME: Andromeda 2 ;)
Wow, this is one hell of a catch! Honestly, if Riot is taking the time to make changes to small things like animations, I think that shows just how PERFECT they want this game to be.
If they treat LoR like an artist never satisfied with his/her work, then we're all in for a treat! =)
Hehe! Actually this is exactly how it was. Set 1 was made in different periods of time. Artists have grown tremendously while working on the different moments. When looking back, the older moments became quite apparent that they are not at the same level.
The team is amazing and passionate! Thus, I face different problems than most other product managers. While other PMs usually have to be the gate keepers for Quality and ask the team to strive for better. I'm on the other boat that have to consistently watch out for the balance between artists' burning urge to upgrade their work and new stuff we gotta pump out for the future plus the team's health and sanity.

Its the capital Greek letter for Sigma. Also used as summation in mathematics.
Thus, any equations after that symbol will be summized.
