17 Questions I Came Up With Trying to Learn the Game

I didn't play during the other phases and am trying to do a little learning now in anticipation of the launch, I was looking through the list of cards and came up with the following questions. Any answers are appreciated.

1) Single Combat - "An ally and an enemy strike each other." Does each player get to choose their attacker/defender or does it work some other way?

2) What does it mean to 'Ready your attack'? like Lucian's Relentless Pursuit or leveled up Garen. Does anything happen if you ready your attack twice through different means?

3) Can Supports buff multiple units? War Chefs giving +1|+1 for example, can the unit to the right get it, attack, die, and the new unit to the right get it as well?

4) Barrier 'Lasts one round', if I give a unit Barrier that round, is it gone at the end of that round or does it last for one after it's played? I don't know why I can't wrap my head around the wording. Some things are worded "this round" as opposed to "one round".

5) Senna's card says "The first time an allied Lucian dies this game, grant me +1|+1 and Double Attack", does she get that if a Lucian dies and she's still in the deck or hand? Or does she need to be in play?

6) Vanguard Firstblade "Attack: Grant me +2|+2", do you get this buff when declaring the attack and before damage is exchanged?

7) What happens if you declare an attack, the defender pulls out some trick that is going to result in their follower killing yours and you play Recall? Does their defender just sit there and not do anything for that round?

8) What is a Skill as opposed to a Spell? Deny says "Stop a fast spell, slow spell, or skill."

9) Scaled Snapper "Play: I am 5|2 or 2|5", is that random or chosen by the player?

10) Zephyr Sage "Play: Create an exact copy of a card in hand", can you copy opponents cards in play or only your own?

11) If a leveled up Champion is recalled, does it remain leveled up in your hand and when played again?

12) How does Noxian Guillotine work? "Kill a damaged unit. You can cast this again this round". I get it's like the reset from the MOBA, but how does it work in this game? Does the card stay in your hand until the end of the round and you can cast it as many times as possible/mana allows?

13) Whirling Death "A battling ally strikes a battling enemy", what does this mean exactly?

14) Vladimir "You've had 6+ other allies survive damage", can you level him up while he's still in your deck or hand, or he has to be in play? Cause other cards say things like "I've seen..." which seems different. Teemo as well says "You've planted 15+ Poison Puffcaps", so can he level in deck/hand? I guess this is similar to question 5.

15) Shark Chariot "When an Ephemeral ally attacks, revive me attacking", so if 3 of these are in the graveyard (15a. Is it called graveyard in this game?) and you attack with an Ephemeral ally, all 3 come back to attack that round as long as there's space on the board?

16) Can multiple Poison Puffcaps attach to the same card, causing the opponent to take more damage from a single draw? What happens if there are more Puffcaps than cards in the opponents deck, if that's even possible?

17) Trueshot Barrage "Deal 3 to an enemy, 2 to another, 1 to another." is this completely random, can you choose even the first target? What happens if the enemy only has one unit on the field?

    • The player who cast Single Combat picks both the attacker & the defender

    • Ready Your Attack means you get an attack token and can attack. So if you already used your up, you can attack twice. Or if you started the round on defense it means you can attack (surprise!)

    • No, support units only buff the unit right next to them on the right

    • If it says "lasts one round" then it'll disappear when the round is over. So if you give a unit Barrier on round 2, it'll be gone round 3 after both of you Pass.

    • "Attack: Grant me +2|+2". Yes, the unit get's it before

    • If an attacking unit gets blocked by a defender and the defender is killed or removed then the attacking unit will not strike. There will be a visual effect showing where the defender was and the attacking unit will "wiggle." The visual effect is getting updated at some point. The wiggle was a temp effect and might get updated, but it is growing on me.

    • Scaled Snapper - Chosen by the player

    Quick Attack only applies when a unit is dealing combat damage on the attack. It does not work when blocking or when striking via Single Combat etc.
