PSA: The spell stack maxes out at 8 spells.
I was playing an expedition game last night and had a levelled up Karma, Dawn and dusk, and 2 mystic shots. I'm at 1 hp, they are at 17 hp. I double cast Dawn and dusk to get 5 total Karma's. Then when I have priority, I cast my two mystic shots at the Nexus together. Little did I know, there is a Max amount of spells on the stack and I only get 8 mystic shots total when I should have had 10... putting him at 1 hp.
Just thought I'd share because most people won't ever experience this and will be very sad the first time it happens.

Ha ha! I will say that gamers (or at least Riot players) seem to get it a lot more than other user groups I’ve designed stuff for. I think part of it is we’re all so passionate and pay more attention to things like roadmaps and we’ve all experienced crashes that ruin our planned game time. Or maybe that’s just me when I get obsessed with a game!

Hi everyone! I'm Jeff, a UX designer here on LoR. The spell bar currently does have a maximum number of spells (9 Fast/Slow spells and any number of Burst spells). Our plan is to update the spellbar in the future to support more spells, and make sure the UI supports the plays you want to make.
To go into a little more detail on the problem space, imagine a world where u/dentisttft has figured out how to get a full bench of Karmas and a 10 card hand full of cheap spells, and then multiply that by 2 for their opponent. You can see how that could get quite messy to say the least! I can't yet give specifics on the solution or when it'll be done, but it is definitely something we will address in the future

Good! Sorry about that missing mystic shot

Hi! Two rows of spells would get really tight on some screen resolutions and create some challenges with making ordering spells intuitive. We’ve got a couple of promising designs in the work so I’m not too worried.
For most part the rough parts of the game (and this is really rough, I know) are not for a lack of ideas, but more about the trade offs to do them. I’m also a producer so one of the calls I have to make is to balance how much time we spend on stability compared to building features or when we decide to change our release dates what to push to a later date and so on. Hopefully, you all understand!
