Feed backs to LoR after 3 months playing on PC and iphone

I am a long term HS player, own around 80% of HS collection and still playing (but much less after LoR beta). I also played many other digital card games, but LoR is currently favorite and I think LoR really has the potental to compete with HS. I really hope this game could be successful and attract more player after it releases. Please be clear that I love LoR and LoR has tons of good things to praise. In my feedbacks, I only focus on something that might be able to be improved imo for discussion.

1, The mechanisc of two-fraction is cool, but it might be better to set a least number of cards from each region should be included. With no limitations, some powerful cards may appear in many decks, like deny (previously) and rekindler. This may be not a problem currently due to active balancing to the game, but I am a little worrying if this may affect your design spaces in the future.

2, Playing on ladder is not that enjoyful for me now. I don't know the purpuse of playing ladder, no achievements, no rewards, and there is actually not that many deck types as normal mode. Hopefully there will be some incentives for playing ladder and make it rewarding to play.

3, Chests opening is part of card games, but sometimes it is also frustrating when you just getting rare cards all the time. I previously got one or two champion cards in the first month of open beta. Since then, I have opened many chests from region rewards and weekly vaults, but didn't get one single champion cards for around two months. I know that HS has a pity timer system for packs, not sure if there is a similar thing in LoR, but it did help in the case like mine.

4, Spending common and rare wild cards are not good deals in most cases. We can get many common and rare cards from regional rewards and vaults. If you just crafted one rare with wild card, you might get it in your next chest and it returned much less shards. Crafting cards are recognized as purchase in LoR as they would be listed in the purchase histories. To protect and encourage player using wild cards, it might be better to introduce a purchase/crafting protection mechanics, that it, if you crafted some cards (all 3 copies), you won't get those cards from chests any more unless you owned all cards of that rareity. It will make more sense to use common and rare wilds on the cards that you love.

5, The most important one, mobile version. To be honest, it is still not as good as HS. I understand that you keep mobile version same as PC version so that players will be easy to transit from PC to phones, but I more appreciate a specific mobile version as HS. HS mobile version enlarges the art and text on the cards, so that it is easy to visualze and learn each (new) card. If a new player downloads and starts playing the game on a phone, it will be much easier to learn and remember the cards in that way. In LoR mobile version, the art of cards are chopped and some card texts are hard to read. LoR is much more skill testing game than HS, so it desires a better mobile version for all players.

I also have two wishes for the future contents:

Though LoR is designed as a F2P friendly game, I do hope the developers can include some pre-order or starter packs/bundles for each expansion ($10-20). This will first excite all players for the coming expansion and also offer casual players chances to catch up by droping some bucks to the game.

One more wish, I really like the game itself, all the champions and enjoying reading the lores from the universe of runeterra, so I wish, someday, the game may introduce more story telling and lore stuffs for players.

Played lots of discard aggro the last week and tried lots of different finger motions and somehow figured. I agree, we need some tips and tricks for mobile users.

Making ‘canceling’ a spell on phone easier is definitely on my list. We’ll get there! I am sorry it’s so crummy in the meantime.

And seriously you are a hero teaching others how to deal with the jank. This is why I love this subreddit!
