The spirit blossom event and labs are extremely healthy for the state of the game.

So before this patch, I didn't really feel like I had a reason to play, except to climb ladder and..... thats it? My collection is complete, I dont really have much to drive me to play, and grinding out games seemed like very un-worth.

However with this new patch, gaining another currency to unlock stuff makes me feel like I have something to do. And having it be slow release and grindy to get makes it feel even better in my opinion. Completing quests, getting petals, and all that feels even better when I'm feeling burnt out on constructed. I can troll around in labs. Still progress and lose a bunch and I dont even get tilted. They aren't even my decks and they are all troll decks.

This patch really did a lot for me. Even aside from balance. I'm not sure how you all are feeling but good job on this one and keep the season pass crap coming. I'm in.

This is undoubtedly healthy for the game. Especially for casual players who don't wanna play constructed all the time.

Indeed. Knowing your audiences and being able to market to those audiences proper is quite the balancing act.

I dont think I've ever seen a game really do it properly. Its always skewed one way or the other. Thats why I felt like praising them for this. Especially since its opt in.

I think it might be better if they made the whole thing open for purchase. That way folks like you could bypass the job portion of it and still get the rewards. At least that's my initial assumption. I have no idea if that's appealing to you.

This is def something we wanted to do for Spirit Blossom (to purchase lvls or petals if someone wishes to). However, it turned out to be a more complicated feature than we realized. To not burn out the team even more, I decided to cut out this feature for this time. Hopefully we can find time and space to add this either for the next event or the one after ^^

Not going to lie, many have came to me with the caution that we should build an out for event passes in case players do not finish (decrease FOMO etc.). It was a tough decision but for our own sanity sake uwu
