This AMA will be focused on the rules and mechanics of ZNR, and hosted by your friendly community team and members of the Magic Design team -

Feel free to post your questions in this thread, and we will draft answers ahead of time. Once the AMA begins, we will create a new thread and post answers to questions from this thread in the live thread as well as answer live questions. Thanks Reddit!

An answer here from Matt Tabak (WotC_MTabak):
"They do not. That is a feature of transforming double-faced cards like the Innistrad Werewolves. That rule was added because we felt having the back faces be susceptible to removal based on their converted mana cost felt wrong.
For the new modal double-faced cards, the cmc is calculated using the face that's up on the stack or on the battlefield. It's front face in other zones. This is more consistent with the design of MDFCs, that the faces are independent of one another."

From Matt Tabak (WotC_MTabak):
"The token is not "created" and won't interact with cards like Doubling Season. What happens is the copy of the spell is created on the stack. As that spell resolves, it becomes the token."

From Matt Tabak (WotC_MTabak):
"The player dealt combat damage mills cards only for the combat damage dealt by your Rogues, not for any combat damage dealt to them at the same time by non-Rogues."
Wizards Community Team
From Matt Tabak:
"A changeling can fill any role, but it can fill only one role. You'll need to control at least four creatures to have a full party. The number of creatures in your party is always the largest number it can be. So if you control a Rogue and a creature with changeling, there are two creatures in your party."
