Some thoughts on the latest patch. The game that Rhino guys have created is incredible. However, there are always some things that seems not to be working as intended or expected. First, even so I cannot praise enough the limitations on the life gain, the different amounts of life attached to the paths look like a hack, and a bad one. The different starting life counts are very confusing, especially for a beginner, and however reasonably they are calculated these amounts will never define a path choice. It's more a metagame call. For example, before the patch I considered JoS to be the best answer for an aggro deck vs control one with its one-for -one removal. Now (see the metagame change below) I'd play Seasons for its reliable card gain. Second, albeit every card change introduced in this patch seems reasonable and deserved the resulting metagame change is discouraging. After every powerful card got downplayed the metagame was reduced from few competing decks to one dominating - mono-blue Valkyries that lacks bombs but wins due to the best card synergy. Until purple we will see a lot of Valkyries mirrors. The health of the game is warranted by diversity of powerful cards not by the lack of thereof.

Thanks for your feedback nelzya. We have a couple more changes incoming in the bug fix patch this week. Beyond, that, if the meta really does get that stale, we'll make moves to shake it up sooner rather than later.
