Brigitte shield bash inconsistency
I’ve seen a lot of people subscribing to the chain of logic that shield-bash is, from a mechanical perspective, a flashbang at the point of impact of a charge.
Well, right now on PTR this seems like an inconsistent application of ability priority.
Let’s look at a couple examples of ability priority on live servers: 1. McCree flashbangs charging Rein, results in Rein stunned. 2. McCree flashbangs Doomfist, if a very difficult timing window is hit then the Doomfist is stunned. 3. Rein charges a rocketpunching Doomfist (head-on), results in double knockout, both characters laid out. This particular example was the result of popular demand and the devs conceded it made more sense than previous iterations.
Let’s consider Brigitte ability priority interactions on PTR from the perspective of the flashbang on the end of a charge model that seems so popular right now: 1. McCree flashbangs bashing Brigitte (head-on), results in stun as long as McCree manages timing window. This follows our understanding of stun priority because flashbang AOE’s Brigitte before her stun can land on him and trigger. 2. Brigitte bashes charging Rein (head-on), results in Rein being stunned. Rather than the double knockout of a Rein DF encounter, this follows our understanding of stuns because the stun applies on contact with first priority and Rein is stopped cold. 3. Brigitte bashes rocket punching Doomfist (head-on), Doomfist takes priority and Brigitte gets decked, Doomfist is not stunned. This does not follow our understanding of how stuns affect charging characters because the Brigitte/Rein example would indicate that the stun has top priority over other impact related triggers.
I’m tempted to assume this is an oversight on the part of the devs that will likely be corrected before release but perhaps there is something I’m missing here? Open to all kinds of polite discussion, thanks!

Thanks for posting. I sent this along to design just in case. Cheers.
