Tiny suggestion for Overwatch League: Make a team's sprays their logo

Title says most of it. Watching OWL matches, with how awesome the team skins are, everyone doing the default spray feels super flat. I think making the team's sprays their logos makes an immense amount of sense on every level. I'd love to see a player make a huge play and celebrate by tagging their team logo around, or a defending team painting up the objective with their team logo. Not to mention it doesn't require any new assets or anything like that.

There was a bug where sprays wouldn’t save between logins on the local server for pre-season. We’ll have that fixed for season 1. This is why most players had default sprays, sorry about that.

Thanks for making the League so incredibly awesome right off the bat. Are you allowed to have a favorite team? Almost instantly knew I'd be a Gladiators fan with those colors and already being an LA kings fan.

    Also, excited about tomorrow? :D

Hard to pick a favorite... as the live ops lead, every single game I’m watching performance graphs and telemetry data for the tournament server as closely as I’m watching the game itself. :)

    Cheers.

    Don't worry /u/BillWarnecke, i'm picking up what you're putting down. ;)

    Haha, amazing.

That's good news! Will they get to use custom voice lines as well? I won't be happy without hearing "SORRY ABOUT THAT" spammed by every Winston player

Yeah the bug applied to all "equippable unlocks".

I really, really wish you made a video of it someday.

The tiny bit of Ansible output that made it into the Sombra reveal made me more excited than anything else in that video. :) A video of how Overwatch looks from the (dev)ops side would be amazing.

A devops talk is still high on my list of things to do sometime hopefully in 2018.

In the near term, I'll be speaking at Elastic{ON} 2018 with Chris Burkhart, a Principal Technical Lead on Battle.net for the data platform team. That talk will cover a high level overview of our telemetry platform at Blizzard, and some specific scenarios where it's been invaluable for Overwatch live ops.

    Cheers.

Bill, was there also a bug for some of the away teams? For instance most of the teams effects and skills seemed to be pure white, while the gladiators, game effects were mostly white with a tint of purple. IMO that looked way better than straight white.

Several issues with team color to sort out still. Some issues we knew about in advance but just couldn't get through in time for the pre-season, many more discovered while watching all the games.

We're going to keep iterating on it. Any feedback you folks share after new stages will help us continue to iterate as quickly as we can. This tech is so pervasive throughout our whole engine I suspect it'll take some time for all the dust to settle and things to really look perfect.

We already have a huge hit list of items complete for Season 1, I hope you find it to be a step up in terms of polish from pre-season.

    Cheers.
