Comp needs a vote to surrender option.

I have only left two games of comp after playing over a year. One was where an enemy soldier 76 had a blatant aimbot (enemy team said he was talking about having one and you could also tell) and the other one was a KOTH game where our team got spawn trapped (twice), the enemy team was insulting us and I just had enough and left. I don't like leavers and I feel like they should get punished more but I think before they do that blizzard needs to implement some sort of vote to surrender option. For example if a player chooses to start a vote if 3 or 4 people in the team vote yes then the game is over. The team that started the vote would lose and the other team would win and it would bring you to the end of the round screen. I feel like this would prevent a lot of players from leaving/tilting/being toxic because they would feel like they would have a way out and they wouldn't feel like they are trapped with an awful team. It just feels weird that OW doesn't have this. Every other competitive game does.

    Hey there battlefieldguy145-

Sorry to hear about those experiences, your frustration is understandable.

Surrender has been suggested a few times in the past, and while we don't want to add it at this time, we're always watching for feedback like yours and reevaluating our choice.

Here's a post from Jeff a while ago about this issue:

We do not currently agree that the game needs a surrender option, especially with our quick match lengths. We're taking steps to make the match lengths even shorter in Season 2 (reducing subsequent "Assemble Heroes" time in Time Bank for example).

We'll keep monitoring the situation but right now there are no plans to add a surrender option.
