Snowflakes FAQ
What are Snowflakes?
Snowflakes are the special currency used for Snowpocalypse. They can be used to purchase site cosmetics and snowballs in the shop.
How many Snowflakes can I earn each day?
You can earn 30 Snowflakes per day by browsing the website. During Snowstorms, you can earn up to twice as many!
How many Snowflakes will I earn in total?
If you participate in the event every day, you should be able to earn at least 3000 Snowflakes.
Can Snowflakes melt?
Our Snowflakes are sprayed with our patent-pending N0-M3LT to protect them during non-wintery times. Any Snowflakes you don't spend will carry over to future winter events.

What is a Snowstorm?
A snowstorm is a special type of weather. During a Snowstorm, you can earn twice as many Snowflakes by browsing the site.
How do I know the daily forecast?
The front page will display the current weather status above news articles during a Snowstorm. If there is no special weather statement, you will not see an indicator.
Snowball FAQ
What are Snowballs?
Snowballs are a special item usable during the Snowpocalypse event. You can throw them at other site members to give them Snowflakes and receive some in return.
How many Snowballs do I have?
You can visit the store to see how many Snowballs you have. It is listed as a currency.
How do I throw a Snowball?
On desktops, you can throw a snowball by clicking on the target icon under a member's comment or forum post. On mobile, this icon will be beside their portrait. If you have a Snowball, it will succeed!
Giving and Receiving Snowflakes from Snowballs
- Throwing a Snowball at another member will always return at least 5 Snowflakes to your wallet.
- Your first Snowball thrown each day will net you a bonus of 20 Snowflakes. This is in addition to the daily quest to throw a Snowball.
- If you throw a Snowball at a member who has not been hit recently, you will obtain a 5 Snowflake bonus.
- If you are the target of a Snowball, you will receive between 4 and 7 Snowflakes.
Catching Snowballs
- Once you have obtained 1000 Snowflakes, you unlock the ability to catch Snowballs. This is a rare occurrence and will result in the addition of a Snowball to your inventory.
- For every 500 Snowflakes obtained after 1000, your chance to catch a Snowball that is thrown at you is increased.
- If someone catches a Snowball you threw at them, it will not count toward your leaderboard score. You will still earn Snowflakes.

When can I open my Gifts?
You have 36 hours from the start of December 25 (North American Eastern Time) to open your "Christmas Gifts". A countdown will be displayed on the gifts to indicate the time remaining to open them.

I´m having trouble with the last Fantastic Freljord clue:
Anyone up for a round of ARAM?
I figured it has something to do with Runeterra Labs, but visiting the specific Lab´s page doesn´t count.. Any thoughts?
Think of where the game mode can be played
I'm trying to solve this one too, and that clue isn't helping at all. It's a lab, right?
I think there may be something wrong with the card database. For example, earlier I was looking for one of the MTG clues and got it, but then later went to look for it and it was gone, and then just now I am able to find it again. Also, I can type "feast" into the name section for mythgard cards and I get [Hearthstone Card (Miraculous Feast) Not Found], but when I type "heal" into the text section I don't get anything. Even though [Hearthstone Card (miraculous feast) Not Found], among many other cards, has the word "heal" in their text.
At the moment, the text for Mythgard cards isn't in our database, so yes, definitely something wrong. Huge oversight and we'll have it corrected TBD.
Ok, I complained earlier today because I had no idea about MtG or Mythgard, so I thought I'd never clear those clues. However, I've just finished all the clues, so it means that someone who has never touched those games can solve everything as long as they think a bit... or just goes to the card list and starts clicking on whatever card feels like it's similar to the sentence like I did xD
Any of the Mythgard clues you found particularly interesting or fun?
Also, you must be really bold to use that strategy for MtG, since there's OVER 50K CARDS!
From Mythgard, I liked the Simpsons reference and the Aurelion Sol one. For the first one, I imagined the answer would have text in the card related to that specific event they're relating, and the second one, well, I just had to find the AS from there 🤣
And the MtG wasn't thaaaat hard, once I realized most (if not all) of the cards had a specific conections between all of them. Before that? I was just searching for random words and clicking cards until I got the clue done lol
I hardly played MtG and since it has only 4 clues I would have assumed it was the hardest but it took me about a minute to complete all the clues in total. The clues are just surprisingly straightforward for that one.
Thanks for this event guys! It's really fun. I have a question about the MTG cards, since lots of Magic cards have been reprinted, do we have to go to a specific version of that card, or will any version work?
Also, if you guys don't mind giving hints, I haven't found numbers 3, 6, and 7 on the Mythguard ones, and the first two on the Magic ones.

They're all Mythic.
No3 is a card that will come in the next expansion, and was shown in a recent-ish article.
No6 and no7 are both form expansion 1.
Are we able to search the mythgard database for mythic? Also, does mythic equal epic?
I'll answer your first bit - I usually reserve my own hint giving until later on :D
For Magic Card clues, visiting any card that has the same name will work. I won't say that will always be true though because I do want to leave it open for us to make clues that would force you to go to a particular card with art from a specific artist or perhaps a card from a certain set.
I can definitely confirm though that this round any card with the same name will trigger the clues.
Say is there any way to see our total snowflakes? Or do we just kind of have to guesstimate?
If you go to the shop, you can see the exact amount you have.
I meant the overall total say I collected 200 and then spent all those and then got 200 more is there any way to see the 400?
