Hi, can any moderator please tell me whether this hidden Drop the Shields achievement is enabled or perhaps bugged?

I am pretty sure it is unlockable similar to the other hidden Patched the Pirate achievement I completed earlier today.

I get those Battlegrounds weeklys quite often (made a posting in the salt thread already). Because of that and the rerolls I have a single weekly quest open in the midweek quite often. Now I noticed that:

-if I've done the weekly "Win 5 ranked" and another weekly quest 

-and there is a single weekly quest in the left most slot

-and i than press reroll on that quest 

=> I get the ranked quest again!

Maybe a coincidence, but happend two times in a row. So i decided to make the thread, whether other users can confirm. By this way you could get a little bit XP extra, because it is 2,5K for the ranked vs. 1,75K for the others. 

I'm trying to test the new plugin for the HDT but it doesn't let me open the settings to login. When I click on settings, nothing happens. Just as a comparison, the button for the Data Reaper plugin works just fine.

Those that know me know that I love legends of Runterra.

But I'm also a big proponent of taking breaks now and then when the meta gets stale.

On that note I've been giving magic legends a shot a deck building mmo diablo style game.

It's alright for a free beta, although it runs like butt.

Give it a shot if you're bored, afterall we still have no formal announcement on when were getting that hotfix

Also we don't know if it's going to be comprehensive and game changing or tiny, and unimpactful.

If anyone's given this game a chance shout out in the comments.

Me and a friend of mine called Spindan made a full review sheet for the expansion. We had pretty decent knowledge of HS and how the metas worked that we could be confident in ourselves. I'll post each class reviews/ratings and hope yall enjoy it.

Let's get the obvious one out of the way first,
Demon Hunter:

Pokeniner: Really interesting to see these Sigils cycle for DH. Might be something similar to Librams for Paladin. This could be the sign that control DH is getting more focus this year over Aggro. Sigil of Flame is a good addition to go with this. (Edit: Just recognized this is can be run in aggro to nullify any defense as Spindan commented)
Spindan: Ok, so apparently this may be HS' way to push control DH. That or it's a cycle. Compared to Mass Dispel it doesn't draw a card and the silence isn't instant, so we don't get a stupidly strong aggro DH tool. Ok. The main problem is of course the supposed downside. It only silences next turn, which means Deathrattle focused decks or handbuff deck, or any deck that doesn't rely on battlecries and pure stats get severely Loatheb'd for a turn. Rude. I'm not fond of this "I can set up a push for lethal next turn" due to the fact it can silence all taunt minions played next turn without any repercussions for you overall. Can't block a clear but you usually die to those anyway. It'll probably get into aggro anyway since 0 mana silence all enemies next turn. I expect it to at least be a 1 off of in many aggro DH decks for a bit.

Pokeniner: Replacement for Twin Slice. Will be run in every aggressive Demon Hunter. Despite what's given this expansion, Demon Hunter still has this large identity of aggression with its hero power and previous year.
Spindan: Less flexible than Twin Slice, but it can make up for it via the extreme niche of mana efficiency. I guess it can be used in the occasional OTK as well as standard aggro decks, but I don't see much use for it in wild while Twin Slice exists as is. Still, at least it's pretty balanced, I do like it. This card gives me CHORTLES!

Pokeniner: Sorry, good weapon, but I don't think Deathrattle DH will stick. It's got good tools, but it's just so weak compared to things like Soul. I'll wait for this archetype to grow, it's something pleasing from the sight of all the Aggro DH we've seen.
Spindan: 1 mana 1/2 weapon isn't much, but it does draw a DR goon which is good for setting up a DR deck. Isn't exactly synergistic with the legendary though along with Spirit. They may end up going into different decks.

Pokeniner: The Beastmaster has a Beast. Does that justify its namesake or flavor. Not at all, but now I see why. I really wish they just designed something different because its just an eye sore to look at. But it's a cool chain card. This > Razorfen > Death's/Berserker.
Spindan: I like that they're going for the Razorboar into Beastmaster, but just...Why print the same card but with all numbers changed by one? It's also a common as well. Wish we had something else like it generating boar-d presence. Ah well, it's still decent.

Pokeniner: Control Demon Hunter tool that probablt won't get supported well like in all the other expansions. Sigil of Silence is a good addition to go with this.
Spindan: Oh neat, a con- oh goddammit it's DH. Until we get some more relevant wincons, control DH may not be so plausible. And also non-outcast stuff. And some big lifesteal removal stuff. Could be ran in a big DH list, actually maybe? It does still disencourage your opponent from playing so a free turn to gain some mana is lovely. Not expecting it to see play though. Shame it's a neat card.

Pokeniner: This is a Hunter card and Blizzard made a mistake. Change my mind. (When I say this, I mean that the flavor and design of this card screams Hunter rather than Demon Hunter)
Spindan: Due to my refusal to believe this is DH due to the fact there's like, no relevant DH minions with Deathrattle, I instead opt to rate this as a hunter card. Because it totally is one don't lie to me now. 3 mana 3/3 with Deathrattle spew out a bloated Python, Zixor, or even Educated Elekk. That's kinda decent. Pity we can't hit Teacher's Pet but hey, we should be thankful for that! Decent Hunter card, but I'd rather eat a worm than admit that it's an actual DH card. It's so out of nowhere to me.

Pokeniner: You know, I forgot this card existed as soon as I saw it. I even forgot to review it. That's how terrible it is. As stated by Spindan, its a worse Dreamway Guardians. I can tell they had to keep some Lifesteal cards alive for Demon Hunter but this ain't it. Demon Hunter has no board buffer and no real way to use these dudes except in Token Demon Hunter, which sucks.
Spindan: Remember Dreamway Guardians? Well how about them but mostly worse? The card IS better when unbuffed, but DH doesn't have much of a means to AoE buff, which means the card is overall weaker. I can see a DH highlander list slotting it in, but there's more relevant cards. If it was like Doubling Imp then it'd be fantastic with felosophy though! But as a spell, sub-par.

Pokeniner: Tool for Standard Demon Hunter to keep board in the coming meta, but won't be enough by itself.
Spindan: I like it, deal 3 damage to the enemies and tempo it? I think this is a fairly nice mid-rangey outcast. The better balanced 4 mana outcast-based DH leggie. Fuck you Altruis, this is MY alternative pick. Sorry Stelina, you could have been Warlock and I'd might have played you.

Pokeniner: 4 Mana 4/4 Draw 2? This is another Deathrattle support and looking at the archetype is strange. With the legendary you want them to stay in your deck. But with Razorfen, you want them in hand. I'm confuif their going to play something similar to Recruit Warrior, or something like Cubelock. Good draw, but I don't think it wil amount to much.
Spindan: The best way to support an archetype is with card draw, whatley knows it and so does Vengeful Spirit. A 4/4 for 4 that could draw a 5 mana DR is excellent tempo and you get another card for next turn. Decent synergy with Beastmaster but some anti-synergy with Blackthorn but hey, can't all be winners.

Pokeniner: So this is the big archetype build around. Overall, fairly good. Better than Oakheart imo. The only issue is that it won't see play because DH can do a lot more nuttier things before turn 7. Will be an off-meta deck, but won't be good enough.
Spindan: A 7 mana 3/6 that pulls 3 DR minions from your deck is interesting, it's a nice deckthinner as well as a way to create a board. The only "problem" I could see is well, what 5 mana deathrattles could DH run to enough of a tempo effect. I think it'd be possible for a deck using these to be made, but we'll have to see if we get some 5 mana DRs to use with this. I think it'll be played though.

To Flux or any moderator that might know this; is my observation correct that thread post edits are somehow not immediately updated? I tend to make a lot of edits to my posts to get to the final version and since there is no preview feature I have to check these live. Starting today, I noticed that my edits are not occurring immediately anymore. Sometimes not even after a few page refreshes. When I press the edit button, I always do see my latest change though (in edit mode). By the way, I doubt this is a browser specific related issue.

Any thoughts on this "issue" perhaps?

Doesn't matter what mode, what class. I even tried to import a deck and it still shows nothing. Tried Firefox, Chrome, and Edge - All had same issue. No Ad Blocker or anything else I can think of that would affect it (Edge and Chrome have -0- installed third party apps)

So here is a bigger list of changes I thought about targetting not only the meta but also the underplayed cards to make them better, have a read.

Twisted Fate:

• Change his lvl up requirement to "I've seen you draw more than 1 card in 4 different rounds".

• Add a perk where the first time TF slays an enemy unit each round, you draw 1 (removed on lvl 2).

The main problem with him is that he's too easy to level up for the value he provides afterward, but without a lvl up he's basically useless and easy to remove, changing his lvl up requirement so that it's no longer possible to lvl him up in a single round makes it so that the enemy actually has time to play around him. Adding a perk that forces TF into combat also makes him extra vulnerable to removal, but extra rewarding when done right. Now players get to choose whether they stick to having a lot of safe card draw, or use TF in combat to remove enemy units and draw cards on top. With this change, TF's quick attack will actually become useful, and since you essentially need to draw 1 extra card each turn after the round you play him for the lvl up requirement to count, it opens up synergies with regions with any sort of card draw, OR combat potential, so P&Z is not the only option for lvl ups anymore. The exact numbers are up to debate and need playtesting, but I think the idea of changing his lvl up requirement to "I've seen you X in different rounds" is the way to go in general.

Aphelios:

• Increase the card cost from 3 to 4.

• The phase progression no longer resets upon leveling up.

Not much more to say here, moon weapons themselves are pretty much balanced by being slow speed and the unit itself does not engage in combat before leveling up anyway. Increasing the cost prevents players from curving from him on turn 3, to TF on turn 4 as well, which is important. If there was anything else, I'd say make it so that moon weapons themselves no longer count towards phasing a new weapon, but if that was to go through then I'm not sure if the cost should be increased, either way, it needs playtesting.

Viktor:

• Rework Hex core upgrade:

  • When cast, the player will get to choose 1 of 3 randomly selected keywords they can afford.

  • Different keywords will have varying cost, for example, Tough will cost 1, but Elusive will cost 4.

  • Card cost now depends on the keyword chosen.

• Lvl up requirement changed to "I've seen you play 5 created cards".

• At lvl 2 the created cards will cost 3 less instead of 1.

To put it simply, the hex core upgrade card will no longer have a set cost, instead, its cost will depend on the keyword chosen by the player so that applying elusive is more expensive than something like fury, for example, it will be a similar mechanic to invoking, where the randomness is still a thing, but the player has much more control, and thus can pick different ways to play depending on the situation and strategy. For the lvl up, I think he should have a more difficult requirement but a better reward, numbers are up to debate, but remember since Viktor will have to see you play created cards, removing him resets the progress.

Nocturne:

• Change the lvl up requirement to "You've attacked with 5+ Fearsome allies." OR "You've struck the enemy Nexus with a Fearsome ally 3+ times" OR "You've dealt X damage with Fearsome allies" OR literary anything that does not require nightfall as a part of a lvl up requirement.

For as good as Nocturne is in theory, his lvl up requirement basically forces you to play with Targon to have access to enough nightfall units, and replacing that with Fearsome will actually let Nocturne be useful in more than like 1 or 2 decks. I think we all can agree that after leveling up, Nocturne works as a win condition, but it's just so unnecessarily hard to do so. Changing his requirement to SOMETHING that revolves around Fearsome units instead of nightfall will make him much better and still fit the theme.

Fiora:

• The kill counter resets upon leveling up.

This will simply make it so that once she levels up, she will have to kill 4 more units instead of 2, bringing up the total number of kills to 6. Since she literary auto-wins the game the requirement MUST be hard, I still think that a rework is better to remove the auto-win completely, but I don't have the exact idea how so a simple nerf will work too.

Vladimir:

• Allies can only be damaged by his ability once, every other time they will be "struck for 0 damage".

• ??? Add lifesteal at lvl 2 and Regeneration at lvl 1 maybe?

The first part simply means that once an ally was damaged by his ability, they won't be damaged again at any point even if they are affected by it again, this will perhaps let Vlad be useful in decks without Scargrounds as he won't be killing his allies as much. Note that even though allies won't take damage more than once, they will still get their "when I survive the damage" perk activated, as they are technically struck. Giving him lifesteal is questionable considering his stats especially that he already drains at lvl 2, but I'd like to see it playtested regardless.

Jarvan IV:

• Give him Tough.

• ??? Reduce the lvl up requirement to 3 allies instead of 4 maybe?

So Jarvan in general is pretty underwhelming and incredibly difficult to level up, despite him having a barrier he is pretty fragile with just 3 health, considering all this armor a Tough keyword could work for him, as well as making him easier to level up but I'm not entirely sure if just reducing the number is a good idea, perhaps rewriting it completely could work, as now the fact that 0 power blockers don't count is pretty annoying.

Also rework LeBlanc maybe so that she actually feels like ya know, LeBlanc?

Other cards:

Soul Sheperd:

• Instead of granting, she will give the bonus stats while on the board, so when removed or silenced, the buffs will be gone.

Just to add more counterplay to the aggro ephemeral strats which became more popular now with Azir, possibly reducing her health to 2 or changing the buff she provides to +2|+0 or +1|+0 could work too.

Iterative Improvement:

• Change from Burst to Slow speed.

This will quite simply make it so that it's not as annoying when duping the burblefishes, people will no longer be able to summon a copied follower without passing over the initiative to the opponent.

Wiggly Burblefish:

• Minimum cost set to 2.

A simple change that will stop the burblefishe's cost from dropping below 2, another way to limit elusive spam.

Hush and Starshaping:

• Change their speed from Burst to Fast.

The most loved 2 Targonian cards both could use the same change, making them both fast really opens up for a lot of potential counters and removes a lot of frustration about the cards. For the hush itself, perhaps even increasing the cost to 4 could be justified.

Atrocity:

• Can no longer target Champions.

• Cost reduced to 5.

So Atrocity only works on followers but is cheaper, this will force players to be more creative than just beefing up Nasus and killing him to win the game, there is so much creative potential for him and other champions which is completely wasted because of this card, cuz why to bother being creative when you can 1 shot the nexus with a single spell. This change will also open up space for Riot to safely make champions with a lot of power without having to worry about this one spell. Also, remember They Who Endure? That archetype was basically replaced by Nasus, but with this change, both of them will have the potential to see play as Nasus is strong enough to be viable without Atrocity, and TWE will have a flat buff to the strat. In general, I think it's much healthier for the game for this spell to only be able to target followers.

Ravenous Flock:

• Damage reduced from 4 to 3 OR increase a mana cost from 1 to 2.

As a 1 cost spell with a pretty big impact, it's pretty easy to enable in the right deck, I think it could use a damage nerf OR a cost increase instead, but it's not as important as the previous changes.

Aaaand that's it from my suggested changes, of course, it's not a whole balance patch, but it's a nice fruit for thought. Remember to treat things here more as an idea, aka "a direction towards which balancing could go but does not have to be exactly the way I described", I'm curious what yall think about my ideas and if they are any good, feedback appreciated! x)

I am on a project about a custom in-game RPG for Hearthstone.

I played WoW for so less time(like about 35-40 lvls) and these are only with two or three classes. I need an expert help for resource mechanics like mana, energy, focus and such.

I know the basic mechanics but when it is come to Combo points like rogues have or Runes of Death Knights, my experience in wow isn't enough to create new mechanics for my game mode because I don't even know if there are another mechanics like these for other classes.

I only know about;

Rage for Warriors, Druids*Bear form,
Focus for Hunter and some pets,
Energy and Combo Points for Rogue, Druids*Cat form
Mana for General,
Runes for Death Knights.

Both would be so helpful that If you answer here; or direct me to the some resource about these mechanics around web. The websites I have found about these are either old or guides about how to play the game and what is efficient in the way you are leveling so If you direct me a website, what I need is a resource that introduces the game mechanics for who doesn't know anything about WoW. Guides are mostly for people who knows the game's mechanics and what is the efficient way to play.

Hi guys. In anticipation of a new expansion, Azeroth's residents always try to identify the best and worst cards. Once again, we have combined community polls from Hearthstonetopdecks and OutOfCards into one list. Based on this data, we have determined the estimated power factor (%) for each card. After that, we divided all the cards into different categories according to a five-star rating. And as the icing on the cake, we've added the rating from a popular experts (TrumpSC and RegisKillbin).

As we know there are a lot of bugs in 20.0 patch. 

I''m currently tryn' to complete the Barrens achievements so I can collect the XP when the new Reward track launches. I have some 

• Priest - Heal 40 damage to heroes - I played a deck with lots of heals and healing minions. Eazy. 
• Priest - Start 5 turns with a full hand as priest - just create a slow control priest with removals and heals
• Shaman - Play Elementals 5 turns in a row - eazy, just play a lot of elementals
• Warrior - have 10 minions survive damage - eazy, just play and you will get that one
• Neutral - Swap 0 cost minion with 10 cost minion - I made a warlock deck with 3 minions (Wisp, Voljin and Ultrasaur and lots of draws) - got on first try

And I wanted to do the Druid - play 5 cards in one turn that cost 8 or more naturally. I made a wil deck with Ariana, Kun, Ysiel and some 10 cost minions and spells, played like 8 of these cards in one turn... and the game do not count them. Looks like it wants you to play Celestial Alignment specifically.

Have you encountered another achievment bugs or were you able to close other Barrens achievments early?

I noticed all of my decks suddenly say updated in the last 2 hours, and I checked and it’s the same thing with other accounts too, some accounts with 100s of decks suddenly show them all as being updated at different times in the 2 hours.  What is going on, is this supposed to be happening?

With the release of forged in the barrens coming soon I thought it would be a fun idea to try to guess what the name of the next two would be assuming the community is correct and it's an alliance themed expansion after and then something with both after that.

So first off is forged in the barrens. And for the alliance expansion, I am a main horde player since vanilla so I might be completely out of left field but maybe something with STV, hillsbrad, or even westfall? 

So we would have forged in the barrens, (maybe) Warriors of Westfall. And for the two combined, I hear a lot of people would guess it's the war between the two,but I think it would be the burning legion expansion. Where both groups would have to work together. That sounds more interesting to me at least.

And it would give demon hunter something to do in the expansion theme as well.

So maybe "Allied against the Legion" or something like that

Due to the dream changes, Ysera is dustable at full cost.

I saw this on Twitter, and I think it's gotten lost in the shuffle of all the shiny new content - but just wanted to send a reminder that the old Ysera from the classic set is currently eligible for a full dust refund. Get that dust!  

If you've been looking around you've noticed there has been a lot of bugs since the last patch, i myself usually go under the radar and don't get any of these bugs coincidentally when this usually happens, but this time i didn't get so lucky. I got a complete copy of the undisenchantable demon hunter set. 

Every card they gave for free for demon hunter that they won't let you disenchant, i have double now. And it's literally twice as annoying that i can't disenchant these cards now.

There's even more hilarious bugs where if you use a shaman skin for your hero you can get spell damage totem again, literally pay to win lol. And cards that interact with basic totems don't work with the new shaman hero power totem.

Do you think these bugs will be fixed by the 30th when FiTB comes out? They usually fix these things pretty quick, but i don't know there seems to be an awful lot of things to fix in just 3 days time to me.

so with the new patch come new achievements  for a lot of modes, and for completing classic it only gives a-points does any one know if doing it still give you 100 gold? i never got it and was thinking of crafting  the rest of the set and getting  a  little more gold would be nice! XD.

So recently, I've been playing a lot of Odd Demon Hunter in Wild and have found it really fun. I've had a Golden Baku the Mooneater since Witchwood launch and have always enjoyed flexing with it, as it gave you a golden Hero Power, even if your hero wasn't golden. When I started playing it again yesterday, I noticed that Golden Baku doesn't make your Hero Power gold anymore.

I know it's not a serious or probably even relevant issue, it just makes me think that having Golden Baku is kind of useless now, as rarely you actually play the minion.

I don't know if it's a bug or if it's an intentional change, I just wanted to bring it up in case it is a bug.

I was curious if anyone else had a similiar Problem.

I only play standard. Right now im in legend dumpster ranks but the icon right by my name only Shows my wild rank ... tried clicking on wild and back to standard like before but it isnt working... 

Any suggestions? 

Ridiculous. It's as if the people who make this game have never played it. Most imbalanced garbage ever reading "when a friendly minion dies give your other minions +1 attack" leading to the quickest, most brainless deaths ever. Opponent builds token deck and crosses fingers he gets this busted passive and skyrockets to 10+ wins just facerolling. Nothing you can do about it. Your AoE's won't outpace their flood and trading is out of the question since you only buff them. It should be when the FIRST friendly minion dies. It's still a great pick for swarm decks then.

So out of curiosity I was looking through all the old expansion to see which spells got updated with spell schools to figure out what the standards are.

Unsurprisingly I stumbled over a handful of inconsistencies (or just stuff that I don't understand because I'm missing the WoW connection).

For the purpose of discussion I'll list my findings here and you can tell me why I'm wrong:

Feral Spirit has no spell school, Dragon's Pack however is a Nature spell, despite them both being effectively the same thing.

Lesser Emerald Spellstone is a Nature Spell for some reason, despite no other Beast summoning spells are like this (I can only assume the argument would be that it is a relic imbued by Nature magic)

Lunar Eclipse is an Arcane spell (like all astral spells), but Solar Eclipse is a Nature spell (are sun-related spells Nature damage in WoW?)

Corrupting Mist is a Shadow spell while Corruption, the OG spell has no school.

Spirit Echo somehow qualifies as a Nature spell, while stuff like Ancestral Spirit or Soul of the Murloc don't.

Rafaam's Scheme is a fire spell for some reason, when all other Imp summoning spells ([Hearthstone Card (Summoning Circle) Not Found] and the ranked spell) are Fel spells

Inner Fire and Focused Will aren't Holy/Shadow spells respectively (is there some Priest skillset that involves mental training that isn't related to the LIght/Void?)

Bloodbloom is a Shadow spell when all other plant related spells are Nature (like Hallucination)

Rain of Fire and Dark Skies are Fel spells. Now I'm a bit colorblind so maybe this makes sense if both of them shoot green fire, but to me it always looked like regular Fire.

Lesser Ruby Spellstone is a Fire spell. I guess they were going for color coding with those, but it just feels like a bit of a stretch.

Subdue is not a HOly spell. Maybe it was neever supposed to be, but it always felt like on to me.

Convert is not a Shadow spell, which is weird seeing the artwork and how it clearly implies mind control shenanigans.

Webweave is for some bizarre reason a Shadow spell, which becomes even weirder considering Spreading Plague is Nature as you would expect.

Oh My Yogg! is a Shadow spell, which is strang considering all the other Old GOd relics from Darkmoon Faire have no spell school.

Shadow Council is a Fel spell. I know this makes sense due to the nature of the spell, but it bothers me to no end seeing how every other spell with "Shadow" in the name belongs to that school.

So that's what I've got so far. Anybody else got opinions on this?

After the new patch I got this Shaman achievement: PLAY AN ELEMENTAL 5 TURNS IN A ROW.

Nice ... but ... I was playing a BIG PRIEST in WILD ... and there were no elemental in my deck ... any idea what happened ?
