Now What? !!!
After 1 year, 10 months, and 8 days, I finally beat the grind, and made it to Legend. This was my first push to make it in quite a while, since I usually just settle for rank 5. But after hitting a really good win streak early on, and getting to Rank 2, I decided to actually try to stick with one deck, and put in the games. The deck I used was Control Warrior, teching a few cards in and out as needed. I was really surprised at how dramatically the meta seemed to change just between Rank 2 and Rank 1, and even inside Rank 1 as I got closer to 5 stars.

Hey guys, so with the news about hof cards being replaced and the new wiĺd bundle offer that has just gone live. Could this be a clue that some wild cards are gonna come back to standard.
I mean financially this is a good move from blizzard as they can rehash instead of create new cards and also gets people crafting or buying old cards.
I can also see the reasons why they wouldn't do this as it would upset a lot of long time players or players who have dusted those cards previously.
On the upside though there are a few cards that would be great as evergreen for example dirty rat or explosive sheep for neutral. and there are tons of class specific cards that can help define the class further
obviously this is just speculation but any thoughts?

This is just a thought but why are the animal companions only called forth with specific cards( animal companion, call of the wild, To my side ) ?
Is it simply flavour -references to WoW spells or are they really strong?
Thinking for example of cards like Stonehill Defender -
Would a hunter getting Misha be comparable?

Ran into this interaction during a Heist: playing Crystal Power with Fandral Staghelm on board, you can only choose one target, so you zap it for 2, then heal it for 5. AFAIK, the only choice card that doesn't "work" with Fandral. I suppose you could find some unlikely scenario where this is good (forcing a priest to overdraw, etc.).
It only happened once, so I don't know if a 1 or 2 health minion would die before being healed or not. Anyone else encountered this? Any other "bad" Fandral interactions?

My Time Traveler class was entered into "Deathwing Needs a Friendwing" (Class Creation Competition #4) in December 2017. I ended up 5th place in the competition out of 100 entries. This contest was won by McF4rtson's Sea Witch class. The class is still being updated.

| Thomas Temporison is the basic hero that represents the Time Traveler class that all players have at the start of their accounts. | Chrona Wilson is the first alternate hero for Time Traveler (it took quite a while). She represents the Time Traveler class during Rise of Shadow's Dalaran Heist mode. Completing Dalaran Heist on Heroic difficulty will reward you with Chrona to use outside of Dalaran Heist. |
![]() | ![]() |
| Thomas, Eternally Ascended is the second alternate hero introduced for Time Traveler. He is the new skin for Thomas who is unlocked upon reaching 1000 wins with Time Traveler. | Nina Clockenwerk is the third hero character for Time Traveler. She is unlocked when you win 10 Standard games during Year of the Gryphon. |
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
| Glimpse is the basic Hero Power for the class. When you look at the top 3 cards of your deck and will allow you to rearrange them in any order, giving you information as to what you will draw next and being able to change it to optimize your play. Unlike the traditional basic Hero Power, Glimpse doesn't have an immediate impact on the board as soon as you use it, but it's extremely useful for planning out future turns and optimizing your draws. Being able to see your next draws and plan future turns ahead is one strength of the class. | Foresight is the upgraded form of Glimpse, generated by Justicar Trueheart and Baku the Mooneater. This version mirrors Future Sight, giving you an extra card to look at. Although it may not look like much to some people, the difference one card makes can be very significant. Future Sight is one of the most important cards for the class, so this could be a strong Hero Power. | The class contains a new keyword in the form of Quick-Time. Cards with Quick-Time effects will have their effects activated if you play the card on the same turn you receive it, either by drawing it or generating it. Either way counts. In most other classes, this effect seems like it would be inconsistent and top-deck reliant. The Time Traveler class however has many ways to get around this, namely their Hero Power in which you can rearrange the cards you draw to make sure you draw the Quick-Time cards when you actually want to draw them. There are also some cards in the class which can make Quick-Time cards even easier to activate. |
Strengths:
Weaknesses:
As it should for all classes, the Basic Set introduces you to some of the most important cards of Time Traveler and displays some of its core themes.

The Classic Set expands upon the Basic set and introduces several themes of the class: Elementals, card shuffling, Quick-Time effects, etc. This along with the Basic set make up the core of the class it will stand on through set rotations. Expect some of these cards to be staples of most Time Traveler decks.

The one card from Curse of Naxxramas, plays with recent actions, a theme present in many cards in the class. Rapid Necromancy itself is a card with a skill cap, requiring you to time how you play it, but it can indeed be very powerful if you do so. AoE however might make it a bit unpredictable. I guess this also means Time Traveler technically had resurrection before Priest.

Going against the grain, Goblins vs Gnomes does not have much randomness for Time Traveler, as low amounts of RNG is intended to be a class theme. In this set, the class has a theme of interacting with your opponent. Unlike most of the other classes, Time Traveler does not have any Mech synergy and only has one Mech (Chicken Transmutator).

Blackrock Mountain introduces a bit of Dragons to the set although the class is not intended to be a Dragon class, like Priest for instance. Flashback Dragon utilizes card generation in an interesting way so your opponent may have to think twice about they use to kill it.

In The Grand Tournament, you win or you die, the Quick-Time and top of your deck mechanics are expanded a bit. It gives the class a new AoE, as well as having a counterplay mechanism that still feels fair to both players (Temporal Magician).

League of Explorers similarly uses the Discover mechanic and some of its class mechanics in a new way.

Whispers of the Old Gods adds some new mechanics to the mix as well as utilizing some old ones. The Quick-Time mechanic is expanded in a new way with Power of Yogg-Saron. Have you ever wanted to reduce C'Thun's Cost? There's now a specific support card for it!

Tokens

The "if the top card of your deck is X" mechanic last used all the way back in the Classic Set returns in the form of Theatre Symphonist. Other than that, nothing too special goes on, but every Karazhan card copies something.

Not being a fan of the Grimy Goons tactics, not wanting to join the Jade Lotus because of a dislike for Jade Idols, and not being able to find other classes to create a new gang, Time Traveler joins The Kabal. Despite their allegiance, Thomas knows that Kazakus is a crime leader, and is very cautious about what could be thrown at him. Their allegiance however allows them to combine The Kabal's potion creation techniques with Thomas's time manipulation abilities.

Tokens

Some sand elementals from the nearby deserts of Tanaris and Ulduam have wondered into Un'Goro. Do you suppose that's how the Tol'vir got there? Being an Elemental class since its creation, Time Traveler finally gains access to some Elemental synergy in several forms, and the craziest Quest to hit Hearthstone. Fan favorite card Eternos the Time Lord also appears in this set.

Tokens

Thomas is dead! In this timeline at least, he'll be back to normal by the time K&C comes along. Card creation is a theme in this set, although it's not random like it is for Mages. Some one-off mechanics are also used in this set.

Tokens

Frozen Soul is the boss card played by The Lich King at the start of his first turn. When he plays it, he limits your card playing abilities as for the rest of the game, you can only play one card on your turn. Doesn't matter how much mana you have, you play one and you can't play another. Time Traveler has lots of cards which draw and generate other cards which can be good to get more cards to play, but also stops you from playing them as you get them. Quick-Time effects become only possible to activate by top-decking those cards.
Upon reaching the Kobold's catacombs, Thomas discovers what resembles an Egyptian crypt. Time Traveler has an Egyptian theme in Kobolds & Catacombs with sphinxes as minions (and a humanoid canine resembling Anubis) and all sorts of pharoah magic. In terms of mechanics, Quick-Time is a big theme for Time Traveler in this expansion, with several cards that either have or interact with Quick-Time effects. Big Time Traveler is also given support with Guild Teleport.

Tokens

Temporal Flux is the Arena-exclusive card for Time Traveler added in Patch 10.4 alongside cards like Crackling Doom, Polymorph: ???, and Blazing Longsword. Although it might seem weak at first glance, this card could be pretty strong in combination with several copying tools, which is why this is not a Constructed card.
Just as Thomas is about to approach Gilneas, it appears that Toki is already doing his job for him, so he has no worry. Like K&C, Quick-Time is a theme in this expansion. Some new mechanics are used, and the class obtains its first source of pseudo-healing: Reversion.

Tokens

To join up with Flash Forward, Master of Realities, and Fatecleaver, Infinite Harbinger and Matter Split are Time Traveler's cards of choice for the Taverns of Time.
In the Boomsday Lab, Time Travelers study the field of portals and creation thereof, lead by head portal scientist, Sarax, Rift Creator. Rather bizarre however is that Time Travelers are not pushed into any one mechanic in this class, as opposed to what you'd normally see in a class's set in any expansion. Instead, Time Traveler gains a myriad of cards with different effects.

Tokens

In Rastakhan's Rumble, you are in charge of a new team: Tharon'ja's Serpents, championed by Sul the Sandcrawler. When you have so much time control ability, you have many ways to win. Introduced in this set is something quite rare for Time Traveler: a proper win condition. Up until now, most Time Traveler decks have relied on simply out-valuing your opponent. In the Gurubashi Arena, you have a way to win in form of Tharon'ja the Serpent.
This set is very WoW based. This is very unusual for Time Traveler, which normally is mostly original to Hearthstone with tidbits of WoW sprinkled in.

Tokens

As Rikkar steps into the Arena, he has pledged himself to Tharon'ja and his team. Who can blame him to be honest? All the cards and power you get seem really cool (*wink, wink*). Victory will overthrow Sul the Sandcrawler as his champion. It's up to you (playing as Rikkar) to win. After his own prophet murdered him behind his back, Tharon'ja has wanted someone new to take that spot for a while.

With 5 returning villains, and only 4 Dalaran defenders, Time Traveler joins the Dalaran defender to make an even 5 and 5, using their cosmic powers. With Year of the Mammoth rotated out, this expansion hopes to fill in some of the holes as a result of the rotation, and to support current archetypes. Tharon'ja decks notably have some support here.

"Slightly mischievous, yet exceptionally intelligent, she is not afraid to kick butt or take names."
Chrona Wilson represents the Time Traveler class in the Dalaran Heist. Whilst at first, she is normally only available during Dalaran Heist, completing Dalaran Heist on Heroic difficulty will unlock her as an alternate hero. Her emotes are the same in both modes.
Be sure to view this class's Dalaran Heist Guide.

| Available from the beginning. | Activate 20 Quick-Time effects. | Play 25 Elementals |
Normally the "good" classes would be represented by one of the explorers of LoE. The problem is... there's no fifth explorer. Instead, Classic Legendary Kara Shellen makes a reappearance (as Kara the Fallen) in this set. Lorewise, Kara peeks into a future as to what happens should the League of EVIL succeed, and decides to help the explorers, as well as, you know, saving Uldum. It's kind of in the name. In this set, Time Traveler receives a whopping three new synergies for the first time, one based on reducing the Cost of your cards, one for shuffling cards, as well as the class's first Deathrattle support card (Mummify). Just like Mage, Time Traveler is also receiving Highlander support for the second time, after MSoG.

Tokens

In the Tombs of Terror, you control Kara Shellen, allying wth the League of Explorer's. During her quest to stop the League of EVIL, she ended up falling under some corruption set out by Rafaam, however the corruption failed to manifest properly. Instead of turning her evil, it kept her good, but simply gave her much more aggressive means of attaining her goals. Due to this "half-corrupted" state she is now in, she is slightly more reckless, and also has some "dark" (though not necessarily evil) tactics to achieve (reflected by her use of Time Traveler and Warlock cards), and now balances and utilizes good and bad timelines to her benefit (which in gameplay is reflected by her first Hero Power, Staff of Chronos).
Instead of being corrupted from hero to villain, she was essentially corrupted from hero to anti-hero.

Completing all 4 main chapters will upgrade Jr. Sandmancer into Sr. Sandmancer.

You remember the Basic card, Sandmancer, right? Well, if you don't. Here it is:

With Doom in the Tomb, Cyber Punk and Murozond (from MSoG and WotOG respectively) come back to Standard for the event. Logically, the choice of Murozond could be viewed as foreshadowing Descent of Dragons.

In the new Battlegrounds mode, Chronecromancer from the KotFT set joins the fray.

As the conclusion of the Year of the Dragon trilogy reaches, Nebulon, the aspect of space and the Astral Dragonflight (an original dragonflight created by me) represnts the Time Traveler class and their alignment of "good" in this fight against the League of EVIL. Although this isn't the first time they've received Dragons or synergy (having a single synergy card in Blackrock Mountain, and none since), this is the first time it is embarked on as part of the set. Do we perhaps see Dragons becoming a more staple tribe for Time Travelers?
Join Nebulon in this set as you take on an epic journey. You'll take some Sidequests along the way, and find some Discover synergies.

Nebulon's Tokens - Upon activating Nebulon's Battlecry, you will choose one of these to put into the battlefield:

Other Tokens

For the new adventure, Kara is once again here to help the League of Explorers with their draconic journey. 3 new Time Traveler cards will be found here to unlock and play.

In the Outlands as Time Traveler, you'll come across strange creatures and a whole bunch of weird things of the present and future around every corner, all trying to summon something it seems. Time Traveler in this set is more generic than most classes in most sets, but it sets up a plan for later sets.

Tokens

It seems that before Scholomance became a hub area for dark magic and cults, it was an esteemed academy full of bright students and learning potential. In Scholomance Academy, you have BIG ambitions. Time Traveler's arsenal in this set is focused on big cards and being able to cheat them. You've also decided to study some priestly and warlock magic on the side, as your two partner classes in this set are Priest and Warlock. You've also taken an interest in the mysterious Dawnhammer cult hidden deep below the undercrofts of the school (must be a first for everything) who have undertaken a ritual in order to summon the power Infinite Dragon lord known as Dromadicus. Kara's brother, Crimson Shellen, seems to be here in the academy. We're not quite sure for what purpose, but we believe he's here to assassinate Kel'Thuzad or perhaps one of the students before they would become evil.

Token

The Old Gods have each come back and are at the Darkmoon Faire, perhaps indulging in their own psychotic fun toying with people at the fair? There's fun, and there's madness... at the Darkmoon Faire! Play some carnival games, watch the performers, engage in weird culty action. Take a trip down the menagerie perhaps? This set includes some support for Menagerie decks, and some cards designed with next year preparations in mind.

Tokens

When you play Minigame Master, he will randomly select one of three minigames for you to play. If you successfully beat one, you'll get to choose a prize (a set of 4 tokens).
Spot The Real Card - You will see three versions of the same card. Two of them are fake (be it different stats, wrong grammar, or wrong class, subtle changes like that). One of them is the real card. Click/tap the real card and you win the minigame.
Cup Shuffle - Exactly as it sounds. One cup out of three has a prize. The cups will shuffle for a few seconds. Pick the correct one to win the minigame.
Lowest to Highest - Three random cards in the game, all of different mana costs, will be displayed to you. However their stats, cost, and effects are blank. You are to click/tap on the cards in the correct order from lowest mana Cost to highest mana Cost. If you're right, you win the minigame.
Prizes

Over at the Darkmoon Faire, the magician's group has been using their supply of crystals to create mirrors and illusions. One particular mage has apparently infused herself with the crystals to create copies of herself. We suspect that Sayge has been using them for his fortune telling. Time Traveler in this set gets a few cards that go along with their dual-class themes from Scholomance Academy, with copying cards with Priest, and drawing cards with Warlock.

The first of the new Core sets is upon is in Year of the Gryphon. Upon this year's Core set are some old Core favorites being kept, along with some favorites from Wild sets being added in. But we also have some changes to some familiar faces, and also the arrival of a new, significant face.

Our journey into the Barrens follows Infinis Tempor, a young bronze dragon with ties to the Bronze Dragonflight who learns of his draconic nature and ability to use time magic through his journey with Elise into Un'Goro crater after awakening Eternos the Time Lord. Though he is far from a master in the arts of time magic, he is making quick strides in his journey to become better and aspires to be the best he can be. Why exactly he's found himself in the Barrens is not clear yet though.

Tokens

Our adventurer's find ourselves in the Wailing Caverns. Contrary to Hamuul's warning not to go in, Infinis goes in. The caverns is full of several mysteries and dangers that lie ahead (and Screeching Horrors). What is undiscovered about the caverns though is the aura of Arcane energy to allow reality itself to be altered by whomever however they wish. Having been in the business of time magic after discovering Eternos from his Un'Goro trip with Elise, Infinis is of course intrigued by this possibility and heads in to claim it himself.

As the Mercenaries travel to Stormwind, Infinis finds himself accompanied with his newfound friends from The Barrens. Infinis sets off on a quest to find a special hourglass located somewhere along the area. Although he shows much promise in his abilities already, Infinis believes that this hourglass will allow himself to unlock his potential even further. Being a city known for its trading business, he also sets off to converse with the local business owners in hopes of finding more artifacts that he will be able to use. Little does he know on his journey that he's about to grow in power more than he ever thought before.

Tokens

Upon uniting with the rest of the Mercenaries in Stormwind, Infinis and the rest of the gang find themselves in The Deadmines, a dungeon populated with the Defias Brotherhood. In the hideout, Infinis has hopes of finding the Infinity Scroll, an artifact said to be able to unlock his time-twisting abilities to its maximum potential.

The two political factions are at conflict with each other. Infinis discovers the true location of the Infinity Scroll across his journey in the Deadmines is here in Alterac Valley, prompting him to remain neutral in conflict as much as possible to uncover the powerful artifact. Time manipulation powers have lead to the rediscovery of The Veiled Cleft, once hidden from an avalanche and thought to be permanently lost in time. This does not go unnoticed, as Infinis and his actions have also attracted the attention of the astral god Shallatoah and her following.

Tokens

This is it. We've made it to Onyxia's Lair for the final showdown! Infinis's goal has lead him to the lair itself where he has unlocked his potential for time manipulation and his last goal is to defeat Onyxia. All the mercenaries have lead themselves here and they're not backing down. Take the final charge!

With the arrival of Year of the Hydra comes the new Core Set for Time Traveler where some things have changed quite a bit.

Tokens

Down in the depths of the sunken city known as Zin-Azshari resides a group of Naga trained in the arts of matter manipulation and a land of undiscovered treasures of unspeakable power. A mystical world awaits that is equal parts enthralling and dangerous. This set and the Core set provide a new synergy package for Future Sight, an integral and iconic card since the inception of the class deserving of its own spotlight. But there are a number of possible courses for you to take.

Tokens

Further into the depths of the sunken city is the throne of the tides where Neptulon and Ozumat have a clash. Guarding the path inside are the Oceancrafters which are responsible for keeping the very state of the ocean as is, lest a Cataclysmic Opening were to occur.

Tellni has been invited to Sire Denathrius's dinner party. While the dinner party seemed to be going by smoothly, everyone is a suspect when Denathrius is found to be dead. Was it Two-Timing Tellni? At the Clock Tower? Using his satchel of tricks? People in the chronomantic arts have always been known to put a foot into the territory of dark magic, but Tellni seems to have embraced it a little more than others who study that field. What's his motive? Perhaps he knows that Denathrius created the Dreadlords and aims to get rid of him before he can create more and cause a distraught future?
While at the party, you're also accompanied by Fesh Krieger as a mole on the inside. He may appear to be a typical fancily-dressed butler, but he is actually a high-ranking member of the same origination that Thomas Temporison belongs to, and uses his skills in the field to aid himself around servant jobs. While working under the guise of Denathrius's personal butler. He won't kill Denathrius himself, but he is fully aware of one of the guest's intentions of doing so at the party and will happily go along with their plan. He may even help them sneak something useful into the castle to do that.
Time Traveler in this set features a special tri-spell school synergy with the use of Nature, Arcane, and Shadow spells. Play all 3 schools, and watch as Tellni performs his dark magic to fill your board with 6/6s. You've also got some cards to summon stuff to help with Infuse and other methods of playing with death.

Tokens

When Sylvanas is framed for the murder of Denathrius, she enlists Nathanos to clear herself. Of course, who actually murdered Denathrius remains a mystery. Any Time Traveler could do it and get away with it as they have a very easy means of expunging their name from the record. On the way to the court, they also discover that an old colleague from the chronomancer organization, Nirshen, has been held up and is now on the run.

As of this patch, Murozond from Whispers of the Old Gods has also received the Diamond treatment. If you have Murozond in your collection when the patch hits, you will automatically get a Diamond one. For a limited time, crafting Murozond will also give you a Diamond Murozond.

With the announcement of March of the Lich King, the cards from Knights of the Frozen Throne come back in all of their original glory (minus Sapphire Maiden since it was already in this year's Core set to begin with).

Tokens

With the Lich King returning from the Frozen Throne on his way to make a move once again, Time Traveler embraces its darker side with an array of Undead synergies and Deathrattle support. It has an expansion-specific synergy package in the form of the Deathwalker archetype. Deathwalkers are an undying army that grow stronger and stronger when more of them die.

Nethermancer Axxyyzz also gets the Signature treatment in this expansion (it should have the Undead tag, but Signature cards in HearthCards is still not perfect yet).

Tokens

Closing out the Year of the Hydra is Return to Naxxramas where Undeads are the name of the game again. Deathwalkers have their own support card, Big Undead is given one support card, and the spell-menagerie synergy from Murder at Castle Nathria is given an additional card.

It is currently not possible to select the current Arena rotation sets without knowing which expansions are in Arena. It would be nice if you could shortlist this filter somehow.
This can help when trying to determine which cards can be discovered, like with Arcane Dynamo.
Also I don't see a filter for mechanics or for card text/body. Will those be added?

I'll start by saying Ive checked if there are similar threads but I didn't find any. Sry if it's a repeat.
Next I'll say out of.cards is truly great! The only thing I'm not really into is the dark colour theme, but its overall so much better than HS?
Now to the main topic: I have no idea how much coding or recourses or whatnot it would take, but an app for mobile and desktop would be awesome! Something like I keeper, but apart from card tracking you could also check the forums on the same app. Maybe there can even be a streaming mode!
Again, no idea how much work this would need, but it would be awesome!

Hello,
I've migrated here from Hearthpwn and I wanted to ask if like Hearthpwn there is an option to put in "spoiler" or "read more" drop down buttons in deck guides.
Having the collapsible text is really important for helping streamline large blocks of text so I would definitely request it be implemented if it is not already.

The site's coming on fabulously.
One minor annoyance that would make a fair amount of different to the User Forum Experience would be to have a Return to Top of Page link and / or a breadcrumb for the bottom of the page.
This is most noticeable on thread pages with many posts as it is quite aggravating having to continually scroll to the top of the page when wanting to return to the main thread list etc.

I noticed that there isn't really much if anything in the card set pages related to the adventures and was wondering if we could get something dedicated to them. Part of the reason I'd like this is so there is a place where we could have the basic story of each adventure laid out and screenshots of the little things that only pop up once, such as the introduction and the final "you won" screen. I personally would like such things on this site so I don't have to keep large folders on my computer filled with these screenshots so I can look at them again, lol. I'm sure there are many other great things related to the adventures that would fit there as well, but that aspect is what's on my mind atm.
Don't these decks play very similarly? Play a minion, bounce it, play it, bounce it....stall until you have an unending supply of big, cheap minions.

Hi everyone!
I know that the Tavern Brawl is not the most popular game mode out there, but I certainly really like it and look forward to it each week (despite the last few being quite disappointing in my opinion). While the site is configured to display the brawl name and if it is even on, the little tidbit just sits there in the corner, with a dark-ish tone and design that fits the site quite well - making it blend in too much with the background of everything.
My proposal is very simple - just turn the lights on in the Tavern Brawl background when it is on. That way, it would be harder to miss when the brawl is in effect, and at a quick glance - without even having to read the text. When the Brawl ends and we are waiting for another - just turn the lights off to the current design. Now I really don't know how difficult something like this is to implement, and if it can be automated in any way - but if it is possible - I think many people might like it.
I've made a small mashup of how it might look like - and I would really like to hear people's opinions on the matter!
Cheers!

Ladies and Gentleman I finally did it. After playing the game for about 3 Years ( I started in February 2015 but took a few longer breaks here and there, could never stop myself from downloading it again tho ) I have reached legend at last. I feel so uneblievably relieved my dudes you would not believe it... For all this time I allways told myself that I COULD do it but just wouldnt have the time... Still it allways stayed on my bucket list. I dont know why I am posting this, I kinda just wanna tell someone how good I feel right now. Shoutout to the three Endbosses I had to face until I finally did it.
But holy crap the grind is unreal I will never ever do it again haha.
By the way I did it with Zoolock for anyone whos interested :)
Have a good day, thank you for reading my little Monologue !

While I greatly enjoy the dungeon run style of single player content, it always annoys me how boring and repetitive the first few levels are.
I think allowing the player to draft a treasure and/or 3 cards *before* the first encounter would create a lot more variety in that first game, not to mention allowing the first boss(es) to be buffed a little to actually make the fight interesting. Rhastakhan's Rumble took a step in the right direction by allowing the player to draft a loa at the outset, but even there the fact that each loa has one starting deck means that after a while the first encounters become boring and predictable. And of course with Dalaran Heist we went back to picking a passive treasure and cards after the first encounter, which IMO is a clear regression (that said, being given a choice of hero powers and starting decks is a definite improvement).
Now I don't expect the existing adventures to be substantively changed, but it'd be nice if the devs could front-load a bit more choice/variance at the beginning of the run in future adventures. It'd make the first few levels more exciting, greatly improve the replay value and make it easier to fish for certain treasures/comboes once you're at the point where you've already beat the bosses and you just want to try wacky stuff.

I see people complaing about different bosses being to strong, but for me the most frustrating boss is actually the 1st one: Linzi Redgrin. There are games that you cannot win against Haro (playing Murlocs or other "swarmy" archetypes for example) and sometimes P.O.G.O. just starts shuffling your Muscles into his deck only to draw them and beat you, but most of the bosses have that - a situation / set of draws in which they are insane. That said that is why you play Heroic - to feel to challenge of facing the more difficult bosses and try to make your deck OP enough to beat them.
Problem with Linzi is that usually, his deck is just better than your starting deck most of the time. Your only chance is swarming him and taking the board from him, which can be really hard since his curve ussually tops out at 2-3 mana and if he starts losing he goes all face. On top of that there are many versions that require different plays against them (against Edwin you should play your Convincing Infiltrator, but against the version with Gang Up! you need to hold it until Gang Up! is played). There have been runs when I wanted to try particular archetype (Kobolds desire, Bomb Warrior), but just wasn't able to get through him like 4-5 times in a row. I think the challenge should come only after you picked something for the deck and have your treasure not before. It is just such a feel bad moment to lose even before you have any chance to customize your deck.
I think he should be at least made into 2nd or more only boss so that you can have at least some treasure/advantage to use against him or his appearance rate should be lowered so that you wouldn't play him 5 times in a row. Especially given that ALL of the other 1st bosses almost can't beat you even if they are super lucky. Wendy, for example, has stolen from me Frost Lich Jaina only to be killed before she played it and played my Wrench-Callibur (basically 16 damage!!!) that also wasn't fast enough for her.

Last he said the patch 8.2 is hitting the 25th this month.
